My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food here, and great service!!! Gotta try out the Chicken Satay and Walleye Green Curry - won’t regret it!!!

The atmosphere was very relaxed, tasty Thai cuisine with delicious flavors, the staffs very attentive and give good service.

Exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating service in conjunction with an enlivening atmosphere and deliciously prepared food. Prices are reasonable too. Dining in on my own, I got a great first impression of the place, can’t wait to be back with friends, and have no hesitation giving my experience five stars. I doubt you’ll leave here feeling anything but happy. My server Sarah was very accommodating of my desire to stay low carb and replace the rice that comes with the Massamam curry with a bowl of salad. They were able to provide a nice bowl of freshly sliced cucumbers instead which I was more than happy with. That paired really well with the hearty, flavorful, and warm curry, which was exactly what I needed on a drizzly weekday evening in Uptown. The atmosphere is multifaceted. There is a bar area that I imagine can get pretty lively, but also plenty of booths that offer coziness and privacy. There is intricate artwork all over the place, which lends a feeling of authenticity, liveliness, and craftsmanship. My eyes were fed just as much as my stomach. Maybe a little weird to say, I know, but you’ll see what I mean if you decide to go.I don’t really have any complaints, other than the tables seemed a little sticky, but the rest of my dining experience more than made up for that.I really can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. Roat Osha is an Uptown staple and deserves to be experienced by anyone in the area and anyone passing through. My Thai dining experience was exemplary. I don’t think you can go wrong.

The service was phenomenal and our host Sarah was delightful. The food however did not meet our standards. I loved the dumplings and shrimp wraps were great. Our entree walleye was terrible. I asked for it to be sent back and mind you this is the first time trying this restaurant and asking to send the food back. Sarah said she will send it back but the manager/kitchen staff said they can only honor a 10% discount and I would have to take it back. Am I in the wrong? I thought with all the other food we ordered and multiple drinks we had that asking to send something back was normal especially after one bite. I am disappointed in the restaurant but would like to applaud Sarah for her excellent service.

Ordered take out through Doordash. My food was hot when it arrived, so it was super fresh. The cranberry cream cheese wontons were different and good. The basil shrimp rolls were absolutely excellent, paired awesome with the sauces it comes with.I tried the Wallaye Creamy Green Curry - it was very creamy with a nice amount of spice. I personally didn't like the chunks of pineapple, but I enjoyed the sweetness of the juice in my dish. I do, however, think for a dish that's $26, I feel like the wallaye could have been deboned better, a few portions of the fish had tiny little bones in it. While I do understand a few go unseen here and there, there were quite a few - I counted 7.Aside from that, this was a dish that was so delicious, it made me dance while eating it.

Used to eat here all the time this place has fell off. Only person in the restaurant staff was still nowhere to be found extremely slow service. Food was bland even though I ordered a 4 spice. Over priced. They are obviously depending on to go more than sit down customers even though they have a huge space. I’ll never eat here again.

I am addicted to the Pad Thai and pork egg rolls. Portions are excellent. I get two nights of dinner from the Pad Thai.1 star less for not enough protein, spice level, and they didn't pack my peanut topping last time.

Best Thai I've ever had!!!! Multiple levels of spice for everyone! Gorgeous ambiance, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful with one of a kind art pieces that are as great as the food!

Impressively flavorful cuisine and delicious drinks. I'm very pleased to see that this staple of the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis is surviving. Friendly staff and relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This is worth visiting again when I come back to Minnesota. Accolades are well deserved.

I've been going to Roat Osha as my South Minneapolis Thai food go-to for over 10 years. It has always presented itself to be the highest quality Thai food in the South Minneapolis area, and it's simply absolutely delicious.I'm finally writing this review now, because after ordering Roat Osha several times for take-out during the pandemic, it has been the BEST it has ever been, which speaks volumes when a lot of restaurants had to (understandably) make cuts during the pandemic as far as quality of ingredients, price increase, etc.The main two dishes I always order are the beef pad thai and the pineapple fried rice, and holy smokes the last couple times I have ordered it, it has been INCREDIBLE. Those two dishes have always been extremely fresh and tasty, but somehow they have even gotten better. The beef in the pad thai is so flavorful and high quality cuts of the meat, and the veggies in the pad thai taste as if they were just harvested from a garden. The same goes for the pineapple fried rice, which I got with mock duck last night. Wow, the best mock duck I ever had. I usually get the chicken but decided to try a different protein, and I'm so pleased with the mock duck. The pineapple was so fresh and the yellow curry flavor in the rice was just perfect. Everything was chefs kiss. Honestly the best take out I've had in years.Thank you, Roat Osha. And a major nod to your chefs. Your food has so much integrity and is a true example of exceptional Thai cuisine. You will always have my patronship.
