We stopped in with the whole family-four kids and two adults. We were seated quickly and we ordered a couple appetizers-the chicken wings and the egg rolls. I'll be honest in saying that they came out suspiciously quick, so they were probably cooked beforehand, but we were astonished at the flavors. The appetizers were absolutely fantastic. For our mains, we ordered two types of phó, a combo fried rice, and some type of rice noodle salad. Again, we were stunned by the complexity of flavors. My wife and I both agreed that this was one of the best meals we've ever had, and we own a restaurant. We live about an hour away from the cities, but we would make the drive just to visit again, which we will very soon.Thank you to the staff who put up with our crazy kids. You handled it well. You were also very attentive, courteous, and fun. We can't wait to come back!
A friend and I arrived around 7:00. We wanted to order spring rolls but they were out of them. We opted for egg rolls. We thought that they must have been at the end of the batch because they were very tough. We ordered pork and with potatoes, which was fine and spicy chicken, which was OK except the the pieces of chicken were huge and difficult to cut. We were finishing our iced tea when we were brought our bill and then told it was 8:00 and that they were closed. Rather rude if you ask us. Probably won't be back.
For me the Asian food world is pretty ho hum. Probably because of my palets lack of education. I’ve read about the egg rolls here and finally had an opportunity to have lunch here on a recent visit to your fine city. We ordered 2 orders of egg rolls, chicken/pork fried rice, chicken chow mien and beef over rice noodles. The egg rolls were a meal in itself and had a crunchy exterior that gave way to a delicious egg roll we agreed were top notch. All 3 meals were tasty with fresh veggies, nicely prepared meats and rice and noodles that complimented each dish. The staff was friendly, on point and seemed to enjoy what they were doing which for me can take a dining experience to the next level. If by chance your in this lovely NE Mpls neighborhood Que Viet Village House is worth a visit! Enjoy!
I really enjoyed my first experience eating at Que Viet, and can certainly see myself revisiting often. The dine in service was prompt and polite, and conscious and attentive to their guests' needs. I was very happy with the quality of the food, it was full of flavor and I had enough for leftovers after I was satisfied. I will for sure be keeping them on my list for a great dine in or take out Asian cuisine option.
Have gotten take out for 20+ years and until recently I would have given it 5 stars. Aside from the still perfect egg rolls, there is a definite decline in quality. Hot and spicy chicken chunks are too big ~ obviously saves them time but just not as flavorful. Serving sizes have gotten smaller while prices have increased exponentially. The past several orders were missing items. Hoping it's just growing pains and things will improve as it's been a family favorite and we ❤️ supporting locally owned businesses!!
The best Que Viet location, others do not compare. Egg rolls and hot and spicy chicken are staples along with wonton soup. Cannot go wrong here. Check hours though as they open for lunch and dinner and are closed in between which doesn't bother me but some it may. I think 11-2 is lunch and dinner is 4-8 or 9.
My wife is very sensitive to gluten, and she can definitely eat the egg rolls, which are truly the best egg rolls we've ever had ever. Que Viet does not have a gluten-free menu, but my best guess is everything is mostly gluten free if you avoid the wheat noodle dishes, and fried wheat stuff. If you are not super sensitive to gluten, anything made with rice noodles should be safe, though my wife hasn't taken the chance on anything but the egg rolls.
Always an amazing place. I have been going here for over 10 years now. Great staff and amazing food. Never disappointed!
Their vegetarian egg rolls and pho were outstanding! Good prices, nice interior ambience. Our server was friendly, but service was a bit slow at times; maybe they happened to be short a server that day or something.
This might be one of THE BEST places to eat in Minnesota! Everything on the menu is cooked to perfection. Of course the egg rolls are the best around, but the hot and spicy chicken is one of my absolute favorites. I'm gonna start a campaign to get Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives to visit here!
