Dogs welcomed on the patio! Farm to fork. Had great beet salad w crab cake on top, as well as Salmon entree w mashed ?’s. Prima is Lynnhurst gold I tell you. Thx Julie and your top notch team.
What a great restaurant. We had the entire family in for a birthday celebration. The menu was not expansive but everyone found something to their liking. Everything was magnificent. They had a pork special that was excellent. I highly recommend and we will go back.
Plan ahead note: park in the back and go in the back door! Also I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.Review: My family brought me to dinner here for my birthday - every course was incredible! The staff was super nice and made sure we always had our drinks refreshed throughout the meal. One of the best crime brûlées I have ever eaten! It is not a big place, has a very intimate and neighborly feel.
Amazing food AND service! Which is so hard to come by these days. We made reservations and got seated right away. My husband had the lamb and I had a rigatoni/sausage dish. We didn't have to wait long for the food, it came out piping hot, and so flavorful. Portions were perfect, I finished it all and was pleasantly full but not painfully so (which was great since the food was too good, I couldn't have stopped). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!!!
Italian places are a dime a dozen, but Prima stands out. It's a cozy space with warm wait staff and delicious food. The ingredients are fresh and sourced from the owners' family farm just outside of the city. You can actually have a conversation without yelling too. Great place, we'll be back!

I loved this quaint restaurant! There were 10 of us and they accommodated us perfectly. Great for intimate dining for two also. The pumpkin squash ravioli was a hit as well as the special tonight, penne, chicken, spinach, red peppers. Our server was also fab.Save room for the butterscotch sea salt, creme fraiche custard for dessert, dynamite!
I'm surprised by a couple of mediocre reviews for this restaurant. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was when my friend and I went for dinner. The food was exceptional (and I don't use that word lightly). The service was excellent and more on par with what you would expect in a more expensive fine dining restaurant. The ambience was really nice. The hostess was warm and inviting. I ordered the rotini con pollo for dinner which had tons of flavor. My friend ordered the capellini al pomodoro and he said the angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly (something he rarely finds). For desert we split the chocolate decadence, flourless cake. It literally melted in my mouth, I kept trying to figure out how it could still hold its shape and yet be so creamy at the same time. I highly recommend!
I was so pleasantly enlightened to Prima this evening! Delicious appetizers, beautiful and equally delicious salad course and the pastas we tried were outstanding! Just a touch of local interpretation to traditional Italian fare for really fresh and engaging dishes. And the desserts were as good or better! Service and atmosphere are too notch too.
The food was good and service was good, but definitely would've preferred the indication of a 20% service charge before the meal, not after when the bill was due, as this led to confusion regarding tipping. Perhaps it said on the menu and I missed it, but it definitely came as a surprise, and I'd really prefer that the prices of the food just be increased 20% instead, as this would've felt more upfront and honest. I understand that according to their website, this charge goes directly to the employees, but even still, I've gone to many other restaurants in the last few years who haven't done this, and it left me with a bad taste at the end.Edit: I have worked in restaurants before and we would tip out other positions like bartenders and food runners at the end of the night. Additionally, if no tip was needed due to the service charge, this point could've been reinforced on the receipt, and I don't recall it being mentioned at all. I appreciate your comment to my comment.
