Our pizza of choice in the Twin Cities! The pizza combinations are all delicious. I love that they have rotating specials. Most recently we ordered the chateau pie (apricot, mushroom, goat cheese, arugula) and the fresh tomato pie (cherry tomatoes, garlic, honey). The crust is always cooked to perfection with the right amount of char on the bottom. The caesar salad is phenomenal as well- the pickled egg is what makes it so delicious and unique. You can tell they use fresh ingredients only. The service is also great. Our server was helpful and kept us updated frequently. We have usually been around 8:00 PM on Sunday evenings and are typically seated immediately. Overall, we've enjoyed every experience we've had at Pizzeria Lola, and will return multiple times in the future!
We grabbed a couple of their gluten free pizzas— they were pretty remarkable and delicious. Their dough/crust is thin, flexible, and perfect in the wood oven.Not the best spot if you’re Celiac or sensitive to gluten, since there is a lot of cross-contamination possibilities. I got mildly sick but it was worth it.Only issue was with drinks, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Two on the menu are spritzers— one without alcohol and one with and both very close in name (alpine spritz or aperol spritz). I ordered without and received the one with because the server misheard me. I drank what I received and it didn’t taste like the description. Had to ask the server to check which drink she got me and if it was gluten free. No harm, but would have been a different story if it had gluten in it. It was packed and tough to hear, but all good.
This place has never failed me yet. This is a Korean American pizzeria. Excellent service and food. The restaurant is clean. Lots of free easy parking. There is a 21% surcharge on every bill. They say that the surcharge allows them to eliminate the tipped vs non-tipped employee structure.
I took the images attached with my film camera.Pizzeria Lola is a restaurant I have had the joy of visiting more than a dozen times. Each time, the drinks and the pizza are exceptional. The service I have had has either been average or above average (Brennan was a great server multiple times). When they have a special soft-serve, I get it every time. I love soft-serve so much, and they knock it out of the park!
I had tried to go here recently but it was just too busy and parking can be a mess. I can now see why with how good their pizza is. Today I went close to open to guarantee a chance at getting seated upon walking in and finding somewhere to park. Luckily, it wasn't too busy and I was able to get seated right away. Nice inside seating and an outdoor seating spot which is perfect for warm summer days.I ordered the old reliable to keep it simple my first time here. I initially want to enjoy a basic pizza and then try their more creative options if they can execute the fundamentals of good pizza. Let me say, Pizzeria Lola almost beat out my favorite pizza spot in Minneapolis. I was excited when the pizza made it to my table. Visually, I could tell that it was going to be good especially with the charred edges around the crust. The fact that they can have paper thin crust but still keep it crispy is applaudable. The outer crust was also soft and crunchy. It was honestly cooked perfectly and it was a great first time visit here. The only thing I could note would be that the sauce needed just a little bit more tang or seasoning, but I will definitely be returning here in the future to explore the menu further.
Brennan was an amazing server!! My experience here was beyond AMAZING. My partner and I came here for the first time yesterday and it was sooo nice. The wait was fairly short and the hostess was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were able to get outdoor seating as well which was nice considering how nice the weather was. The waiter Brennan was AMAZING ! He made our experience beyond great. He was super attentive, friendly and patient with us!! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience and that we were content. The food was really good! We got the roasted cauliflower as well as the Iowan pizza and kimchi. Food came out extremely quick and it was cooked to perfection. For desert we got ice cream with extra virgin olive oil which gave the ice cream a very unique flavor. Overall great place and environment. I would definitely return!!
This place has gourmet pizzas with a Korean twist. The pizzas are always amazing. We ordered a margarita pizza with assortment of mushrooms and the Lady Zaza. Both were very good. We also had their strawberry soft serve that was freshly made and tasted so fresh and light. The service is prompt and the staff is friendly. The patio is beautiful as well.
Had a great house salad with bleu cheese crumbles and crispy pancetta with a house vinaigrette. For the pizza, I had the My Sharoni which is a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The thing I love about this place is thewood fired pizza isn't wet. I've been to other places where you pick upthe pizza and it just flops and the entire middle is soaking wet. I've eaten here many times and co workers that eat the leftovers, always ask where this came from. It's good, like you went to New York or out east somewhere. I also like the cauliflower appetizer.
Delicious wood-fired pizza! We started with the wings and my husband thought they were some of the best he’s had. We had the Korean bbq and My Sharona pizzas. Both different but absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
Since I moved back this has been one of the places I’ve been meaning to try. Went in today since I was in the area and the atmosphere is very relaxed. There’s a cute photo booth too which is $3 added to your bill - I love this idea. The pizza is Neapolitan style and it’s really good! Got a Margherita which you can’t go wrong with, Iowan (cheese, prosciutto, arugula), and the Sunnyside. All pizzas were flavorful, but it’s no wonder the Sunnyside put Pizzeria Lola on the map- this one was extremely delightful and enjoyable. The egg is perfection, though I would have appreciated maybe 2 more eggs, but that’s just me. Even the leeks were such a nice touch of flavor. The crust to the pizza is delectable and light. I really enjoyed all the pizzas. Service was quick and food comes out promptly. I’d definitely go back and try a few others.
