I typically never leave reviews. I have to share the horrible customer service I had with this Pizza Hut location though. I placed an order for delivery from the store, the delivery tracker said it would take about 40-50 minutes. Closer to that time, I received a text saying that DoorDash picked up my order from Pizza Hut because they partner together. This is fine, I have had this happen before and no issues. Keep in mind, the DoorDash text says “contact the STORE with questions.” I received another text about 10 minutes later saying my order was delivered (we live in a secure building so they would have had to leave it on the sidewalk outside if that was the case, and I did not get a call or anything from the DoorDasher). I went outside and checked around our whole building, found nothing. I called Pizza Hut, because I didn’t get a number to call DoorDash in any of the texts. This is where the terrible customer service comes in. From the moment the man at Pizza Hut answered the phone, he was rude and very unpleasant. I tried to explain the situation and before I could even ask if he had a contact for DoorDash he cut me off and yelled at me saying “you call them, it’s not my problem!” And I responded by saying “please don’t be rude, I’m asking for some help, it said in the message to call your store” and attempted to ask if he had any contact for DoorDash. He simply didn’t answer, and hung up on me. When I called back twice after that it rang through and he picked up my call and hung up without saying anything. I have always been big on customer service, and I have never had such a rude encounter in my life. The tone of voice, his nastiness, and him continually interrupting me when I was asking simple questions, it was terrible. I have always liked Pizza Hut but this location just lost customers for life. DoorDash ended up having to facilitate a refund on my behalf with Pizza Hut because every time I called the store they wouldn’t answer, just kept answering and hanging up on me. The DoorDash customer service line is very helpful, so shout out to them for their help.
They offer deliver online but then contract doordash to deliver you a cold pizza even though they charge you the delivery fee. My receipt was stuck to the top of my pizza in the box, my pizza was shaken all over the box. Did not receive the cheese, peppers, and plates I asked for on my order. When I called to ask about the delivery text I talked to a very rude person. Would give 0 stars if I could.
I ordered delivery at 8:25pm then 30min later I got a call from this location telling me they weren't going to do my order because they close at 9pm. If pizza hut has a cut off for when they will stop delivering then that should be on the website barring people from ordering. NOT WAITING HALF AN HOUR TO CANCEL IT BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO DO YOUR JOB.?
This is my second review. My phone died and is currently being charged because the staff is incredibly accommodating and will do anything. Best pizza hut experience I've had. Love you Jordan
Absolutely superb service and food! I ordered online. Unfortunately #doordash screwed up delivering. I drove to their location. They apologized and offered refund or my order. I chose order. Ready in 15 minutes, hot and looks great.Thank you to the entire staff. Please teach the Chicago Ave location your secrets.
I don't usually write negative reviews, but after placing an order in the app, one of the items in my order became unavailable and the manager attempted to call me. I wasn't able to reach the phone before it went to voicemail, so I immediately called back (within seconds). The manager was extremely rude and irritated because I hadn't answered "four times" (my phone only received one call which I immediately returned), and canceled my order. It's disappointing because I normally wouldn't mind the item not being available but it was just handled so poorly.
I'll never ever order pizza from this location, almost 3hrs. To deliver my order, and of course it was COLD.Corporate please put more attention and pride on delivering your products, or just simply be honest and tell the customers we can't handle our deliveries and leave the option for PICK UP ONLY.And please don't use other companies to delivering your products like Doordash because they are not PIZZA HUT is just not right.
If I could give zeros stars I would. Placed an order for delivery and it said it would be a little over 2 hours which is fine since I placed it kinda earlier than I planned on eating. 1.5 hours rolls by and I get a text it's on the way, great! Except not so great cause it wasn't. Another hour went by and I decided to call the store. Could not get in contact with them. Finally got in contact with a customer service representative and she informed me, after being on hold since she had to contact the store, that they didn't not have a driver. Why let me place an order for delivery if I can't get it delivered? Also why not communicate that to me?! I will never order from this location again. Supposedly I'm getting a refund.
Ordered food for delivery and received a call about 25 minutes after I ordered asking if I wouldn't mind picking up as they didn't have a delivery driver working that night. I said sure, showed up and attempted to enter the side door and one of the cooks said "you have to use the front door", as he was standing there smoking. So I walked all the way around for no reason, paid for my food, and waited another 30 minutes. While doing so I noticed 2 delivery drivers coming and going. I did receive a free 2 liter of Pepsi for my inconvenience; however, I would've appreciated the truth over this giant lie. Will not be back unfortunately.
Took two hours to get our food and eventually had to go pick it up ourselves. Management didn’t care at all.We’d tried to order a few times before on the app. Had to cancel both times because the app quoted us 45-50 minutes for delivery, and then it told after checkout that it would be 3-3.5 hours.This time, I just called the store. No issues ordering. But an hour later, we called the store to check in, the manager got on the phone and rudely told us, “Yeah. We only have one driver, so it’s going to be at least another hour.” I told him that it’s not far away, so we could have just picked it up at this rate. Just paying for the convenience of delivery. He said that they hadn’t even started the order, but it would be ready in 20 minutes if we wanted to pick it up.Went to pick it up. They had straight up lost a few other people’s orders—like, the wrong people picked them up. Then we had to remind them of our order. Watched them *start* making it.Got home with the order, and it wasn’t even cooked. Dough straight through.If you can’t handle delivery—on a Wednesday, nonetheless—then don’t offer it.
