Okome House has a warm and friendly staff that great my friend and I as we arrived. Then, they proceeded to provide excellent service. Oh, the food was delicious! this was my first time getting onigiri and recommend the salmon one!

Had the curry udon and avocado Don. Curry udon was like the cafeteria at my Japanese university in hirakatashi, Osaka minus a poached egg. Loved it. Will return.

I could enjoy the flavor and nutrition of each ingredient and as a whole dish. Well balanced and very satisfactory.

So we tried Okome just a bit after they opened, and went back just tonight to give them another go. And holy wow, what a freaking amazing spot they have become. Awesome space, great staff, and the food was absolute fire. Get the Tori appetizer and the pork upon ftw

Had the tekka maki (tuna sushi) and unagi rolls, it was not the greatest. The tuna was not the greatest color - definitely not pink.Curry don was okay but it's litterally golden curry with some veggies sprinkled on top.Tldr Kyoto Sushi has better quality than thisIf you are looking for sushi.

We have the great good fortune to live just a couple of blocks away, and eat takeout from Okome House at least weekly. During the week, we thrive on their donburi and onigiri. I’ve had every one of their donburi and they’re all great. On weekends, they have their sushi menu. Rather than the ridiculous rolls that plague too many sushi places today, they eschew sauces and elaborate fillings in favor of doing the basics and doing them flawlessly. Nigiri and maki, salmon and tuna and yellowtail, perfectly fresh and exquisitely rolled. Service is fantastic, too - I usually order, then put on my shoes and walk over, and my order is just getting finished in the ten minutes or so it takes. We are so, so lucky to have this magical gem right where we live!

A fantastic Japanese fast casual restaurant tucked in a neighborhood. There is street parking and I'm sure an adorable patio in the summer. My bowl was 15 bucks. They also have a cute little market with Japanese snacks including the fun sodas that you pop. The food came out pretty much as soon as we sat down after ordering and it was quite delicious. I definitely plan to come back!

Great home made like food, hearty and healthy

THEY HAVE SOFT SALAD (I freaking love these by the way).Okome house is one of my favorites near me. I like how casual it is and I also like that they sell my favorite snack (I will down these in one sitting if my girlfriend doesn't hide them). The restaurant is headed by the same chef who runs Kyatchi. So what about the food?Okome house has sushi here on the weekends, which we decided to give it a try!I have to say their unagi nigiri is probably the best I have ever had so far and I LOVE unagi. I can say.... It was GOD TIER. I found myself having to order more after the first round. The other nigiri we had was also great! The maguro nigiri was also so good. So buttery...I just want to eat some right now... Which I might have to this coming weekend.Food: 5 out of 5 unagi nigiriEnvironment: it is casual and cute. I love it! 5 out of 5Price: honestly for what you get, worth it! 5 out of 5Service: 5 out of 5 (to the gal and the dude who served us, we loved your outfits! So fashionable)

This place is great! We had ordered sushi, two udon noddle dishes and a rice bowl. All of them hit it out of the park. The staff is super knowledgeable about the different items and provide great insight into ordering from their diverse menu. Love this place
