The best falafel gyro in MPLS hands down, great small family owned restaurant, quaint atmosphere with the exact vibes you would expect from a place with food so well prepared. Would have loved the option of grape leaves with my meal but absolutely didn't matter in the end and I might have just missed them.
First time come to here was nice but second was not. The staff were not pleasant and gave small portions of food. The staff had a hard time understanding English.
Absolutely delicious! Very happy with my first experience here; staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food is top notch. It’s just like what you get from the best halal trucks on the east coast (e.g. New York, Philadelphia), so it was very nostalgic for me. One thing that’s different is that they have a full salad bar and you can choose from a wide selection of ingredients like pickled vegetables, chickpeas, and more. I really like that! Definitely an upgrade from the places I’m used to. I tried their chicken and lamb over salad, gyro sandwich, and mango lassi. The flavors were rich and satisfying. And service was quick! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. Thank you NY Gyro!
This was a DoorDash order at the end of the night and they didn't send me anything that I ordered correctly but the 1 Samosa. The fries were under cooked and soggy and extremely cold. It tasted as if the chicken was old and not freshly prepared. I also had the chicken and lamb rice were they forgot to put the sauce and the salad in it, extremely dry again and it seemed like they used old chicken. I also ordered caramel cake and they sent me a chocolate ganache cake. Due to allergies the cake was not able to be eaten. So basically nothing that was sent to me was edible I had to ask for a refund and something to be done about the restaurant. I only received a partial refund and due to not receiving all of my money back as soon as I use that money up I will never use door dash again. I called the restaurant directly and was treated very rudely and told basically chocolate cake is just like caramel cake, it's the "same thing" so I should just eat it. I also let them know that the salad was missing and he got an attitude with me so I reported it. I am extremely dissatisfied and will never order from either one again!
This place is terrible ? the Employees have no respect for the customers on the other side they don’t value your time. You order something and wait patiently. After 15-20 minutes they may ask you what was your order? Wasting your time and self respect
Fresh food, I don’t eat there often but when I need a late night snack this is where I goI’d say try out their mixed platter and any gyro
This food was terrible, and overpriced, and salty. I had a Gyro and asked for Tzatziki sauce and they gave me a mixture of Tzatziki sauce and ranch dressing. It was a bad combination. Save you money. Go elsewhere, but it was anopen
The staff was remarkably friendly. The food was so good I got the chicken tikka the flavor was really good had a taste of lime and was a little spicy served with the rice and the vegetables you could pick out what vegetables you wanted. Also got the student fries with meat that also had a wonderful flavor seem to be curry and plenty of meat and cheese that also was very good I also got a gyro sandwich and I haven't even tried that yet but I would recommend it to anybody I hope you all enjoy it it's right on lake Street and nicollet and Minneapolis. Don't miss it enjoy it and let me know how you like it
Really great hole in the wall food spot, its sort of like subway where you can tell them what veggies and sauces you want. IMO the rice based dishes are the best deal, you get a lot of food and its really tasty. If you can call ahead or simply wait 20min I recommend the Chicken Tikka or Lamb Tikka its really good. Otherwise they are generally pretty fast to get the food out, they warn you if they can't make what you order instantly. The fish or chicken over rice is solid. Also the falafel is good if you are vegetarian. Not 10/10 amazing like Falafel King is but not bad either.
Most customers go in there are Somalis . They way they talk with somali people is so disrespectful. Look rude . I hope they change that attitude towards Somali people .
