First time coming to Modern Times and I will be going back. I had the elote impossible burger and it was delicious. I had their café con miel (iced honey cinnamon latte) to go with my lunch and I would highly suggest it.
I wanted to catch the bus near the cafe and missed it. So I went into Modern Times and ordered two delicious corn tacos with chicken. They were really very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly and my server wore a wonderful dress, looking very nice for work. I was so surprised when I got the bill, how affordable it is and as a no tipping establishment they charge only a very modest service fee, I feel this cafe goes above and beyond to provide affordable delicious food and great service. This is my third visit and every time is great.
Modern Times is a classic Minneapolis cafe. I’m obsessed with their fresh food, huge portions, creative dishes, general vibe, and progressive politics. Everyone who works there is always friendly, and I love how anyone can find something they’ll like on the menu - vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free etc. It’s an inclusive and cool space with incredible food. Highly recommend.
Absolutely adored everything we got! South side hash with tortillas and an avocado. French toast. The Reuben. All class A winners!!! Incredible flavors. I wish we lived here!
Some of the friendliest & helpful servers I've ever had wait on us. Tips are included so it works... Living wage workers are happier.And the food (vegan, vegetarian, & carnivore) was great!
I went for a late brunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was jam packed! The wait time was 45 mins- 1 hr. The restaurant was filled to standing room in their waiting area too. SO WORTH IT!! They got us coffees while we waited and we were able to sit I'm their merch room and chat prior to being seated. The servers were all friendly and communicated well with long wait times. I got their French toast and a half order of hash and it was AMAZING!!! 11/10 would recommend and will absolutely be making this a regular brunch spot.
Wow, absolutely amazing! I think this is my favorite vegan food I’ve had in a not exclusively vegan restaurant. Wonderful vibes, great service, and absolutely flavorful food. I’m excited to go back and try more of their menu items!
Some of the best vegan food in the Twin Cities. There are so many awesome options to choose from. The pictured vegan breakfast burrito is my favorite, and I also love the vegan spicy avocado burger. Super duper highly recommended! ?
Little different check-in then I am used to, but it works for them. First time here and I have to say I really liked it. Service was good a d the roasted jalapeño burger was fantastic.
Best vegan breakfast in Minneapolis! Get the Vegan Southside Hash, you will not be disappointed. Service is always great and the atmosphere is so fun!
