Certainly had a satisfying experience at Meseret! The reviews about service being a bit on the slow side during off-peak hours seem to be valid, I spent a fair bit of time waiting on my food for being the only dine-in patron. Staff were kind about it, and when said food did arrive, it was delicious! I ordered the Quanta Fir-fir, and the dried beef was delicious along with the accompanying injera fit-fit itself. I certainly plan on ordering from Meseret in the future when I'm craving some Ethiopian food!
Excellent! Delicious flavors. We asked the waitress for a platter and she delivered exactly what I envisioned, so many different rich flavors.
We were served directly by Meseret, who was highly attentive, our veggie combo plate was artfully arranged -- and completely delicious. :-)(p.s. On the one negative review below that I saw -- exactly who goes to a Ethiopian restaurant for its chicken wings and french fries...?)
ordered for delivery a handful of times and went in once. Honestly the best veggie platter that I’ve had! Tastes just as good at home as in the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend!
Definitely the best Ethiopian food I have had. Meseret herself is amazing: her smile will light up a room, and you can feel her wonderful energy in her food. We don't live nearby, but we love this place so much that we make the trip for special occasions and whenever we're in the area. We couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly!
The sambusas were one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Whoever made them has a gift! I ordered 4 (and got 2?) but it was so incredible I'll be back to claim my missing ones soon. Soooo good, the lamb was incredible too!???♥️

An excellent Ethiopian restaurant on the “Minnehaha Mile” stretch. Easily accessible by car or transit (less than 10 minute walk from the light rail station). We enjoyed the vegetarian platter, with an addition of spicy beef (awaze tibs) and chicken. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!
Step inside to be greeted by Meseret, who is super kind and creates dishes filled with flavor and passion. The best I've had with a delicious balance of flavor. The restaurant is decorated in Ethiopian decor, with a traditional dining area. I'll be back soon! Thank you for putting so much love into making this food.
