I love the fun nature of this bakery. Colorful stripes on the interior and fun quips used to advertise certain treats. I do enjoy one of their signature items called the snowball. It's a bite-sized creampuff with whipped cream inside coated with powdered sugar.I do find almost everything else I've tried to be over the top sweet. I don't know how to describe it. Everything kind of tastes the same because everything is so sweet.I'm going to stick to the snowballs and donut holes. Those were quite good.
The bakery items are very good. Recently they have been OVERLY paranoid about germs. They have a very odd sense of humor. For the longest time they had a banner on the outside of their building, "legal crack balls"-for donut holes. Explaining that to my kids was super annoying. It must have been annoying to others and someone must of complained because the sign is now gone. They assume I care about their vaccine status. Their signage about "we are all fully vaccinates for ourselves and you." That's just bizarre. Please keep your medical information to yourselves. Please don't assume everyone cares. We are now over a year past all of these restrictions were imposed on us. Wearing a mask in 90 degree weather seems excessive. I want to frequent businesses in my neighborhood, especially if they have good food. Now it's gotten weirdly uncomfortable.
Perhaps the best donuts in town. The best donut holes in town for sure! Great customer service, fun place to check out.
Great donuts and the gal serving them was adoreable.
Honestly the best donuts in town. They also have the best gluten free donut in Minneapolis (albeit the glazed vanilla old fashioned is the only GF flavor). Recently they've seemed to have been short staffed, but if you catch them at the right time you will be glad you dropped in.
Well this was a complete bust. The coffee shop is still closed. The donut shop had its cases arranged on the floor to keep anyone from sitting down on the chairs or couches. The lone employee greeted me masked up. Very anti-social. When asked if anything would change to open up, he answered no time soon.Used to be a community center. Not anymore.....
Those glazed donut holes are the very best!! We love them ❤️
We placed a large order for a wedding with Mel-O-Glaze. The process was easy and quick. It was nice that they don't require a long notice for a large order. The donuts and pasteries are, of course, excellent. Great variety and quality. Everything was delicious!
I think this is a nice neighborhood bakery and it fills the needs of donuts. I like the mild lemony flavor in the donut but I'm not a fan of all the glaze. Like that they have dog and CAT biscuits and my cat liked it too.
12/10 recommend. I spotted Mel-O-Glaze out of the corner of my eye and decided I needed to turn around and try it. Their signs were so enticing! Let me tell you… they are not kidding. Best donuts ever! And I have tried a lot of donuts. The apple fritters are out of this world. Doughy, cinnamony, soft, flaky, a slight crunch of glaze. Do yourself a favor and get two (I will be next time!) I’d show you the fritter but I already ate it all. So here’s a peek at the chocolate frosted.. YUM! Will definitely return anytime I’m near
