Amazing place. Josh is a killer bartender and knows his stuff! Amazing selection of craft beers. The Indeed Pistachio is stupid good. Food is another level entirely. The smoked wings are life changing. So good! Steak nachos.... Super tender! You gotta check this place out. And if you like a comfy place to grab a nice cigar or cig the patio is ready no matter the weather. Covered, heated, or fan in the summer with open air. Amazing bar!
It was very busy, that'd be expected do to the event happening at the Orpheum Theatre next door(Ron White which we attended. Great show by the way!). With the shoulder to shoulder crowd this did not affect the service. They employed were on top of the game. Table cleaned as soon as it was empty. Drinks order and served with in minutes. Great drinks (just the way I like, and little heavy pour. Strong! Ty) and not to costly. Good place. Well done Mackenzie Pub!
We recently came here for a "wing enthusiast" event. Our wings and drinks were great and so was our server Kelly! Didn't catch the name of the other server but both the girls were really hard workers. Will definitely be back another time to check out the rest of their menu!
Fantastic little spot. The Caribbean Pork tacos were absolutely delicious. The jerk chicken also very VERY good.Very friendly staff. Hidden GEM.
Superb wings and sauces. The buffalo sauce is the best in town. The fancy pretzel is a must try. Elevated pub food with a casual environment. Great place to watch a game, play pinball, darts, golden tee. Excellent beer selection and friendly staff make this a local favorite.
We were in from out of town this weekend, and of the 3 days we were in Minneapolis, you’d better believe all 3 of them we hoofed it from our hotel to Mackenzie. Usually we’re not one for overly busy bars, but watching this staff work was like art in motion. From the two gentlemen behind the bar (TOTAL rockstars) to the floor staff (shout out to the gal in the backwards hat with the adorable tights—you CRUSH it out there, plus you just look like a total badass) Mackenzie Pub has an unmatchable vibe. We only had the pretzel and the Scotch Eggs (it was destiny, because we got the last order our first night there) and both were fast and very tasty. I would happily spend my last moments on earth drowning in that queso. The kitchen staff is extremely efficient, and despite the insanity, everyone worked in harmony to keep ticket times down, clean in their limited down time and seemingly maintain a very positive attitude.TLDR; this place is the real deal. From the charming interior to the staff’s ease of being able to handle enormous amounts of volume and still be as cool as the other side of the pillow, if there were more stars, they’d have them all.
Dan was amazing! He helped us enjoy the pregame to Pretty Woman next door so much so we came back after for a few more beverages! Good place!

The staff is phenomenal. Also order the wings. They are house smoked. I recommend getting a dry rub with some dipping sauce on the side.
