Wonderful carryout! My favorite is the vegetarian sampler. Food is always ready promptly. I'm eager/hopeful they'll reopen post-Covid!
Lucy's is delicious. I am thankful to have this quality tasty restaurant in our neighborhood. My family and I love the lamb and the vegetarian platter.
Awesome food, and even more awesome service. Super friendly and very accommodating as well as patient in not only explaining the menu but offering gluten free and vegan options for many dishes. We got the sampler platter, a lamb dish, and a vegetarian sambusa for take out. Despite me showing up 15 min late, due to traffic, the food still tasted fresh and delicious. The sambusa was hot and crispy with a wonderful stuffing, but for me the highlight was the garlicky spicy dip
Lucy is a very nice and helpful owner. I really appreciate her hard work. I tried a papusa and I loved it. The lime green hot sauce (house made) was wonderful. I will be definitely be going back to try many other items on the menu. There is something for everyone. Lots of vegetarian, vegan, beef, chicken and fish. Today I had the Lucy's special which is diced beef with a mixture of colored peppers, onions and mushrooms w/ rice or injera bread. Portions are huge. One order is large enough for two people.

Incredible flavour! The owner is very nice as well. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the twin cities!
Best Ethiopian food I've had in the Twin Cities, also some of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever had out. Extremely friendly staff, quaint restaurant, and reasonable prices. It's become a new favorite. Also, DELICIOUS coffee!
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to discover Lucy’s! We stopped by today to check if they had dry mung beans(green grams) for sale on the shelf. I didn’t expect that they would since this particular legume is common in Kenyan dishes not Ethiopian dishes, however it was worth a shot. The super welcoming owner, Aster, assisted us in buying a container of brown lentils as a substitution. Of course we had to buy a couple samosas to take with us too, because I can never pass up the opportunity to eat these triangles of deliciousness. We had the lentil filling which was perfectly spiced and the pastry part was lighter/crisper than the sambusas I usually buy at a Somali cafe. I will for sure be back, hopefully with my whole family in tow, but honestly I may need to sneak in for another sambusa before then....
I love that they are always welcoming and the vegan platter is enough for 2 people
