Longfellow is our favorite breakfast spot in the cities by a landslide. If you have kids— they open early and it’s totally family friendly. We’ve rarely had to wait when we arrive before 9am. There’s a huge patio that gets packed in the summer and fall. Great bike spot with tons of bike racks and access to the trails. For food- their all day breakfast is hard to beat. We love the breakfast burrito, chilaquiles (my favorite ever!!), and tostadas (this came off the menu- hoping it comes back).Pro tip: if you have kids that like variety or eat quite a bit, the eggs, cakes and links from the adult menu is perfect to split. Split it has 2 pancakes, a huge sausage link, and an egg for each person (2 people). Severs don’t give you grief for ordering it and it’s a TON of food.
This was my first time at Longfellow and it was good. The restaurant was clean and the service was great I ordered chilaquiles with 2 pancakes on the side. The chilaquiles were flavorful. The pancakes were crispy around the edges and came with a large helping of butter. It's not my style but they weren't bad. Parking was a bit of a hassle as I'm not familiar with the area so arrive early if you are meeting others.Update: I went back for dinner and it was delicious! I had the lemongrass Thai chicken with cauliflower rice and brussel sprouts.
Food was spectacular. I loved the sourdough and homemade jam. I've never had a breakfast salad before, but I definitely would again.
I'm impressed with this place every time I come here! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities! Yesterday I had their Steak & Pierogies and it was absolutely yummy!! It was all cooked fresh from scratch and my medium-well done steak turned out beautifully moist, the sauce on it was perfect, and the best pierogies I've ever had. The horseradish sauce was delicious too as well as homemade to perfection. Everything was perfect. The service was quick and friendly even on a busy lunch day! I've been coming here on and off throughout the years and I'll be coming back for years to come...
I ordered the Fish Tacos. The Fish Tacos were delicious. I will defiantly visit the restaurant. I look forward to it.
Stopped for a quick pick me up with my husband in the middle of our spring walk. We were greeted immediately and our server (Turner H) was excellent. Lucky for us we arrived during happy hour so our beers were $5 each and our margherita flatbread pizza (delicious) was only $12. The reason why I gave four stars instead of five was that there were some staff members that just seemed to be doing absolutely nothing except for being a distraction while there were others that were working hard cleaning every surface in the restaurant or serving tables. On a high note: Longfellow Grill has a fantastic patio and we're looking forward to when they have it open... hopefully very soon!
We had a great server and overall good food. The grilled cheese with the tomato chutney was a game changer for me, I loved it and the little shot glass of soup. Fish and chips were good as expected. I don't have any complaints, just felt things seemed kind of generic on the overall menu selection. I hope to come back in the summer to experience the patio!
Delivery:The french toast had a piece plastic bag in it (found out after it was in my mouth ?), and the lobster bisques were pretty much missing the lobster. There’s no tamper proofing on their loosely tied bag or their lids so we’re not sure if the driver had lunch on us or the restaurant just skimped ?We called Longfellow Grill to let them know and the person who answered the phone couldn’t have been less interested, as she responded with “Well I don’t see how that could happen but I’ll let the chef know.”We had to refund and toss the entire order.
Enjoyed happy hour with coworkers. This time of year and in this pandemic environment it was not busy. But I know in summertime when I drive by people are seated outdoors and loving the location. This was the first time I've been here and I would definitely go back again. Food is a little pricey but the chicken strips were made with real chicken. Cheese curds were very good as well with a sweet Ginger sauce for dipping. Good selection of local brewery beer. Great waitress!
I use you twice a week for curb side pick up. Safe way to still get my favorites although I do generate a lot of container and packaging to dispose. Very pleased and sending a "thank yo" for your switching to Ocean Plastics for your to-go bags which are partially constructed of plastic collected off of beaches before it goes in the ocean. I am a Hennepin County Master Recycler and will be sharing this informatiom on our recyclers FB page and encourging them to visit you.
