Kiku Bistro is my favorite sushi place in Minneapolis! I love the details of the presentation. Last night’s sushi boat had a wonderful bear constructed from a delightfully tasty orange.Enjoy!
My sushi scoring curve is tight, so three stars is good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The sake selection is vast. Good roll selections and the pricing was fair.
I’m not sure how they got 5 star reviews?? Seriously, our first time - rice does not have any vinegar taste basically just white rice! Some fish are fresh some aren’t.. and the off thing is, 10% service charge for take out and we placed it over the phone so why would you charge 10%? First and would be the last time!
I’ve always just gotten takeout from Kiku, but I dined in today and it was great! I’m vegetarian and their veggie options for sushi are delicious. Also a big fan of the pad Thai. Very cute spot with very good food. My go-to sushi spot ?
I absolutely loved being able to order everything via their phone app. I dined in on a date Thursday night. Drinks were amazing. Get their Manhattan. As for sushi, completely blown away by quality. Each roll was unique and had rich, creamy, and light flavors. Don't pass this place by if you're a sushi aficionado. I've had sushi in my mother's homeland and this place does it right.
Nice place, a bit on the high price side but the food was good. Servers were adequate, but... not ONE stopped after meal delivery to ask if we needed anything else. The online self order menu was a nice feature. $ 110 for three people.
They’re ok as far as sushi places in Minneapolis goes. But it’s still lots of thinly cut slices of fish that are of average quality at best, and most of their rolls are doused in spicy mayo sauce that seems to be the staple in the area (the heavy use of spicy mayo by the sushi places around here is prolly due to them having to masquerade the quality and quantity of the sushi they’re getting, and/or to cater to provincial white midwesterners’ taste). You do have to question the authenticity too because the restaurant seems to be run by Chinese folks…you can clearly hear the sushi chefs and the woman running the bar (I think her name is Jenny) speaking Mandarin.
Went here with my sister- sushi is good but they have a waiter who is so disrespectful and talks to you like trash. We ordered spicy chicken wings and one bite in it didn’t even taste like chicken more like frozen meat that hasn’t been fully cooked. We called him over and he processed to say “well this how it’s done, didn’t you read the menu- don’t order it next time because we won’t take it back.” DONT WORRY BECAUSE IM NOT COMING BACK NEXT TIME.
quick service, reasonable prices, tasty food
My new favorite place for asian food in uptown. It's the only place in the whole state that tastes like they care about their general's chicken. IDK anything about sushi, but their other stuff is fantastic.
