used to come here on the regular for the last 4 to 5 years. I saw the owner of the bar assault one of his bartenders and body slam him on the floor. this is twice I saw him verbally and then physically assault him in front of patrons. This bar needs new ownership or needs to be shut down. the owner is violent and doesn't deserve anybody's money. this server was extremely friendly and kind every time I've been there. nobody deserves to be treated like that! Assault charges are in the works I'm sure. Please don't spend your money here. Nobody deserves that kind of abuse.... EVER! Other servers have been nice but... I can't support underserved violence in any work place.
I'm hesitant to publicly recommend this place. Enjoy, but don't Uptown my NE. Respect the establishment and the people who have kept it alive over the past 80+ years.

Honestly of my favorite places to visit in the entire Twin Cities area. I can't quite pin it down but in my mind, this is the perfect dive. Cash only, TouchTunes, cheap and strong drinks, bar snacks, pulltabs... what more can you ask. Service has always been excellent. It's in a neighborhood and parking has never been an issue. If you're in the area and are looking for a place for a drink or two, this is worth a look.
Fun, small bar with lots of locals/ regulars. Pizza, ham sandwiches, hot dogs, string cheese, pull tabs etc.
No better place than Jimmy’s to grab a drink with friends. Low key dive bar with a lot of character and great bartenders. Cash only, but the great prices are worth it!
Excellent spot for anyone looking for a good drink at a good price. Everyone who works here is great but the weekend crew is exceptional and is the main reason I stop in. You can search far and wide and you won’t find better.
