Customer service is was very poor, asked for recommendations and the guy responded asking if we wanted our items separate or in the same container instead of recommending different dishes? Also did not expect a 35-40 minute wait for two items, when there was only two people in the restaurant who already had their food, could have had a lot of take out orders but was not expecting that long of a wait when I walked in. Asked for a refund becuase I couldn't wait that long and the guy tried to hassle me over it and say he could rush the order in 15 min, I didn't want to risk the quality of the food from being rushed or it not getting done in that time, so apologiesed and had to ask 4 or 5 times to just recieve a refund so we could leave. Could hear the cook in the back yelling cuss words that we canceled our order loud enough for my niece to hear clearly. Overall a pretty poor experience without even getting to try the food.

If you want to see what this place truly is. Then try this simple exercise. Order a meal in person and just as You pay. Say you want to cancel.Even before the order has gone through and make your own decision and review my single star.

My kids and I decided to get take out from here. I ordered some food and went to pay. As I tapped the payment the manager said 50 to 55 minutes and the restaurant was empty. We were the only ones there. I then said in that case cancel the order I’ll just get groceries and cook it myself faster. He then proceeded to say No refund I need to talk to his restaurant Owner. That’s the first I ever heard of something like this. So I had him call the owner. The Owner said since I Ordered the food there is no refund. I told them This is absurd and I want my money back or i have to call law enforcement. The owner then took on a sinister tone and said “don’t threaten us do whatever you want you are never getting your money back”. That was it for me I called the police who came and write my report down and I disputed the amount. I have never been so shocked at the treatment meted out by this establishment. Make your own decisions and choices about going to a place that literally takes your money and doesn’t give back but as for us we will never go to this place again. .

One of the best in the Twin Cities. Delightful hole in the wall that has north and south Indian specialties that are hard to find at other restaurants like chicken 65 and Gobi Manchurian. Their chicken makhani is hands down my favorite version of the dish. Reasonable portions for the price, food is always hot and fresh.

Good food. We ordered Biryani, Mix Grill, Daal, Do Pyaza with garlic and regular naan. It was a good experience ..Biryani was the best ..Grill items were okay for a desi (not too spicy). Would recommend this place to others but it is little pricy for type of food.

This restaurant now has my favorite foods. I really love indian food for its spicy and rich quality. The service is amazing, and the food here is just phenomenal. My favorite was the Goat Dum Briyani, but the Mysore Masala Dosa was also really GOOD... and some good old Chicken Tikka Masala went really well with the butter naan!*UPDATE* In Covid:So I have been coming here for a few years and even in Covid this place doesn't cease to amaze me. The service is still AMAZING and they care a lot about the covid regulations and etc. Their food is still unbelievable tasty and I can tell how authentic it all is. Their dosas are so good that it's usually one of my top 3 of things to order when I go there... on a side note when ordering a dosa you should be aware that eating in the restaurant vs. Togo is the better option as the foil tends to ruin the crispy-ness but they can't control it and to be honest, both ways... IT STILL TASTES INCREDIBLE. I can't wait for the buffet to open again once this pandemic is taken care of. I have really been craving their tandoori chicken lately and during Ramadan my family and I love getting takeout from them and to be honest even during covid their prices are verrrryyyy reasonable and is totally worth it!!!

Best Vegan Malai Kafta in town. We eat a lot of Indian and this place is one of our top 3 favorites.Added bonus - excellent prices!

Our server was very friendly and she gave us recommendations on what to order. The kachori chat and kothu paratha were really good. The board outside is very old has certain menu items which are not offered any more. India Cafe doesn’t have the best indoor seating, but the food was delicious.I’d come again if I am in the area.

The owner is very polite, nice and generous. The food is so so so good. You get a lot of good food for a reasonable price! I recommend it for every one. They have good dessert too. I might be back again tomorrow!

Delicious and authentic Indian food. It's like going to someone's house for a home-cooked meal, which is always prepared top notch and as it should be (real ingredients, real food!). Host was really welcoming. A definite must-try!
