Love the chow fun and fried rice.
One of the best restaurants on the U of M campus. Independently owned and operated!
Usually I love this place. It's the only Oriental restaurant I order from. Normally hot and delicious.Had a problem with my order this evening, thought I could call and it would be easy to fix. I had to argue my point with whoever answered the phone and then with the manager. Was disappointing to say the least. They finally took care of the problem but I never got to tell them that my egg rolls were cold and soggy. So what should have been an enjoyable dinner, wasn't. By the time I got back everything else was cold. ?
I would say, expensive and mediocre. Not too bad though. So; detail wise, the potstickers / dumplings were most likely frozen, the meat and filling was eh, and while crispy it was slightly soggy at the same time. Then, I got the Mongolian shrimp which was also just average. The veggies were cooked well, shrimp doneness was good, but there were not deveined. This meant there was still the intestinal track which was not very appetizing. Also, I subbed fried rice for an extra $2 and the fried rice was pitiful- see picture. It was just kind of old oily rice with a couple strands of egg in it. Disappointed. Service was wonderful though! Fast + friendly workers
The food is not as good as it used to. I have been there three separate occasions during the pandemic, there times equally as disappointing. The flavors were just like any other mediocre Chinese restaurants. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants in MN. So sad. I don't think I will visit again.
Food has been phenomenal every time! Dining in: waitresses are always busy but have never neglected our table. Takeout experience here has been great as well.
Excellent food. no long waits. clean
When I was attending the University of Minnesota, my friends and I would eat here at least once a week. The portion sizes are generous and there’s a wide variety of tasty Chinese food. Recently, the food hasn’t been as good as it used to be, but it’s still worth the trip. Rumor has it there are new owners which may be causing some changes.
Great food, great service. Its my favorite place for hot and sour soup on campus!
so yummy! my favorite Chinese restaurant! staff are so friends and food is so delicious!
