Security: Bag check. I’ve been to the Fine Line several times. Recently saw Emmit Fenn. Great musician and experience! The security is great and if your like me and are always late or are used to shows not starting on time, this is not that. Be on time if you want to get what you paid for. Great cocktails and intimate environment.
Great atmosphere. It's a a bar with a stage basically but sound was great!! I don't drink so I can't speak on price and types of drinks but really enjoyed the music and for a small venue they had the sound dialed in. It was better then some concerts I've been to at the target center honestly. Want good live music with a friendly staff check out fine line
I don't usually leave reviews for small venues like this but I had a great time here and the staff was very friendly and great. I really felt that they went out of their way to make sure I had a memorable visit here. And yes it's not a real Cafe, it is a music hall with general admission standing room only venue with a handful of table on the main floor and some upstairs on the balcony. Lots of parking in the area and it appears to be in a safe neighborhood. Everything sounded great and I would come back here again.
Great show. Got there early and was able to grab a table in the back (I'm old and not standing for hours on end is a luxury at concerts)! Entry was pretty quick and easy and they had a pretty good beer selection on tap. Sat next to the sound booth so, as expected, sound was great. While I do love the Turf club, it's still a great little venue to catch a show.
Great music acts! Good, Quick, Bar Staff, but poor venue if you want to enjoy the band. These stand up venues, like the Fine Line, need to think about what it is like to stand in a tunnel of people, so closely crammed together, feeling their breath on the back of your neck and smell their cologne all night. The venue tries to pack in as many people as possible, It is impossible to really enjoy the band.
purchased tickets to Mike Campbell and the dirty knobs in March 2020 prior to the pandemic. I was denied entry to a show I paid tickets to because of their ridiculous vaccination policy on Monday evening. Look I get having this policy however I'm one of the few who cannot get the vaccine due to a health condition. Not only was I denied entry your door staff wouldn't even rapid test or give me answers on how I could be refunded. At the very least I should have been allowed a rapid test. Just because someone isn't vaccinated doesn't therefore make them an anti vaxxer. I also checked the fine line website prior to coming to the show and NOWHERE was this stated. They are only ones implementing this policy even the city doesn't mandate it. I have friends at work for the Fillmore and the armory and they both have told me even though they don't require it which are larger venues. I will absolutely never set foot in another first Avenue establishment again nor will I recommend any of my friends to support or play at them. You guys are disgusting and the very opposite of what rock n roll is about.
Good views from the balcony.Could enforce a better syetem to keep those who purchased a balcony table seperate from concert goers who assume they can take over a table/ did not purchase it. The encounter to "kick" someone off the table is a bit awkward and shouldn't be the responsibility to handle.Maybe roped off sections behind the tables or a security personal could stop the issue before its started.Photo taken at table 1.
I went to a show here for the first time on Friday, I really enjoyed this venue! The bartenders were friendly and attentive, the bathrooms were clean and the sound was pretty good. It's a small space, but the balcony upstairs is a lot more spacious and offers a nice view of the stage from all angles, and it has its own bar so you don't have to trek up and down the stairs whenever you want a drink. I would definitely see another show here.
This is a decent small venue. Service is pretty good and staff seems to be in good spirits. I would have to say that overall as a venue sound quality seems to be a challenge.Either two bands didn't do a good job getting their sound set right or it's a struggle for bands to get good sound in this venue.Overall it was still good times!
Amazing place for metal live shows! The fact that the stage and the bar are 3 steps away from each other is priceless! Loved this place!
