Second time eating here. I do agree sometimes the taste or ingredients are hit or miss but for the most part the food is tasty. My friend had the giant burrito and I had the Al pastor tacos with an elote. The pastor and Elote was pretty good. The rice could’ve been better. It didn’t seem like it had much seasoning. I did notice that this place gets a lot of orders going out so service can be spotty.
Todays 5/25/22… I called at 4:25 for a pick up order for a torta and fries. It’s currently 5:48pm and my husband arrived there are 5:40pm to pick it up. My food was not done nor was preparation started. When. He asked why it wasn’t ready, they had no response but stated it will be another 10 min for the food to be done. Then when he asked again to speak to a manager the cashier kept an attitude and just said were busy and stopped engaging with him entirely. Another customer told him she pre ordered 45 min and was waiting 10-15 min already! Won’t be back.
My boyfriend and daughter went to pick up the food we ordered. They forgot to give us our drinks. Luckily my daughter noticed before they left. Upon arriving home with the food I took notice to the fact that we were missing several items ordered. Also missing was the fajita shells for the fajitas. I called the restaurant. The man that picked up couldn't understand my issues at first ( language barrier) when he finally did he informationed me that 2 of the missing items where not even available....so why wouldn't you tell us that at pick-up? He asked us to drive back for the shells but that he couldn't offer me a refund for the other items. I would have to wait for the manager. SERIOUSLY NO ONE wants to drive back to pick up shells. He told me the manager would call that never happened. My boyfriend called back and spoke to the so called owner Miguel. He also gave us the run around kept speaking over my boyfriend and such. He wasn't really that interested in our issues. He stated he would call the next day after he " Reviewed" everything... Well that was a couple weeks ago now and no call. Now to the food it was poorly packed, the rice was crumbly and dry, the meat was severally overcooked. So I am going to say pass this place by. No care for the food or the customers.
There were always different ppl making/assorting the food which is fine, b/c food had always come out good enough where I still come back. But I don’t think I’m coming back anymore. My usual order was gross and I tossed it out. They must have changed the recipe or etc.I guess you never know what you get depending on the day. Food might come out inconsistent each time you come. But I’m never coming back.
Family restaurant order at the counter the food was quickly prepared and freshly prepared upon your order. The food is mildly seasoned and very savory with options for sauces with more heat. They will accommodate special dietary request.
Our order was $50 with service fee and tip, and they delivered the wrong order, which was roughly half the price of ours. Not only did they want me to keep the wrong order, they told me if we wanted what we originally ordered, we would have to come get it. When I protested and asked for a refund, I was hung up on. Still no reimbursement. Classy stuff.
El pastor tortas are delicious and very fairly priced compared to other Mexican places in the cities
The location is going down hill fast. Staff is disrespectful/ just flat out rude. Food is very inconsistent, one visit it's looks amazing, next visit looks like you ordered off a kids menu. Asked for a refund, got half my money back. Asked again got another partial refund, then yet again. Only took asking 3 times to get a full refund. I would just not waste your time, these folks just don't kare what garbage goes in the bag after they got your money.
Never picks up phone, messed up orders all the time, terrible customer service, but the food is great (when you can get it correct and on time)
The best takeout Mexican food in the twin cities and suburbs. They do the best beef tongue burrito. I order from here at least once a month.
