I've never been to a place where they tell you straight up that your food will take "a very long time" because they are going to serve everyone else who arrived after you first, even though you've been there a half hour and placed your order 10 minutes ago. Wow. Points for honesty?? Beautiful outdoor patio, food is passable, service.....well......

Great food! I love the mole enchiladas. The women running the restaurant are wonderful. And the patio behind the restaurant is simply the best.

Love their tamales and flan! Great burritos and enchiladas too!!

El Norteño is a fun option for Mexican food located on East Lake Street. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is prompt and friendly.

Extremely friendly service and delicious food in a beautiful setting. The salsa was delicious and home-made. The enchiladas were excellent.

Went on date night with my wife hereyesterday. The outside patio is amazing. Owner and staff are so friendly and love the food. I hate to post cause its kinda a good secrete spot to beat the crowds????

Delicious, authentic food, lovely patio, and such nice owners and staff! Can’t wait to come here again!

I took the family there for dinner the food there was really good the staff friendly and the service was great.

A wonderful little spot for dinner. In the nice weather, there's a gorgeous patio out back, surprisingly isolated even though you're just a few feet from Lake Street. The menu is fairly small, but we didn't want for options. The Tacos Pescado were the best I've ever had. Burritos were enormous. Mole was a little sweeter than I would normally expect, but still delicious. More vegetarian options than a lot of places. Even a nice little kids' menu.Service was super friendly, and prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed the enchiladas. They are 2 in the dinner, but I asked for 3, so I could try 1 beef, 1 chicken and 1 cheese. All 3 were great. I don't remember what the charge was for the extra enchilada.I have not eaten there in several years, but I was in the neighborhood with a friend and I talked him into stopping.
