Fabulous fresh and expertly made food with the side of the best margaritas in town. What’s not to like?
We went to El Jefe's on May 11th for happy hour prior to an event at Studio TimeOut. Food and drinks were great. Staff was beyond rude and the male staff member said I was "cut off", apparently because I was talking to two black girls at the bar, having fun and laughing. Obviously they have a no fun code that I wasn't aware of!
El Jefe’s food truck catered our backyard wedding and it was an absolute hit with guests. We could not recommend El Jefe more based off their flexibility, affordability and incredibly delicious tacos.
Was not expecting this place to be so good. Awesomes drinks and super flavorful food. Attentive service, and both indoor and outdoor seating.We tried the cauliflower pastor tacos, carnitas tacos, and the cauliflower and fried avocado sides. All were super good and we'd order again.
Delicious food and super friendly staff. They have vegan options! And the food is actually spicy, which can be hard to find around here! I love El Jefe!
We live in the neighborhood and finally made it over to El Jefe last night. Food was great, but the service won us over. We have 3 young kids, and our server was on it. She was ready for us to order the moment we sat down, and the food all came quickly. We appreciate the opportunity to eat out at places with good food AND staff who recognize how difficult it can be to keep babies and toddlers entertained for long periods of time. There were many couples around us enjoying their food and drinks without lots of interruptions, so it was clearly not just a tactic to turn tables quickly. We look forward to coming back!
Okay WOW. In town visiting so just found this place on google but I would totally recommend. Their menu has such unique flavors, not just a classic Mexican place by any means, so we tried a bunch of different things. The chicken tortilla soup was by far the best I've ever had and the blackberry ginger margaritas was sooooooo good. Also the service was great! I would come back here in a heartbeat!!!!!!
100000% recommend this place. The service was absolutely amazing from start to end. Food was amazing!! The margarita flight is a MUST and the mini donuts!!! Support small businesses especially amazing ones!!!!!! We will definitely be back.

I miss the location on Lake street. Excellent restaurant. Educated staff on everything from food to their extensive tequila selection. Drool worthy food.
