Dagwood's is one of only two legit sandwich shops on the Skyway. I'm always torn recommending it, because, while people can get considerably better sandwiches than at the chain places and for less money, if everyone knows, I'll have to wait in line longer.

Tasty but you get more bread than deli meat. Turkey was thin, flat and about three thin slices on the turkey sandwich. Bummer

If I lived or worked in this part of town I would eat here every day. First off the bread was super fresh and that really makes a nice sandwich, but it doesn't end there. They're toppings are really delicious and well seasoned. As others have mentioned there is not a ton of meat on the sandwich, but for the price I found that it was a good deal. And the overall balance of flavors left me with no regrets. Sure if you look at the sandwich it doesn't look like there's much to it meat-wise, but I prefer to eat my sandwiches and boy oh boy was it delicious.
Ordered the pastrami dagwood with everything on it and it was delicious - I am definitely coming back again!Update:Came back, had the Special this time and it was just as good as the pastrami. Watched someone else try a Special for the first time and they immediately said, "This is the best sandwich I've ever had."

Good food, generous portions of the dagwood special. Especially with a half a sandwich. It was so filling, that I really want to have the whole sandwich sometime. What I like was that they had three different deli style meats which actually tasted fresh. I so want to go back again sometime.
