Driven by this place for years. Decided to stop in for breakfast ?! Man why did I wait so long?! Great menu and the food was hot fresh and delicious! Has all your standard breakfast items as well as some unique specialty items. Service was excellent as well. We had French toast & a breakfast sandwich. Bacon cooked to perfection and it was good thick bacon sausage was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Sounds simple yet most breakfast places fail at these simple task or they cut cost buy offering small inadequate portions. Do yourself a favor skip Perkins and try this place!
Generous portions, nice and quiet conversation-friendly cafe. The Italian sausage is the best I have ever had, wow! Fries are phenomenal and worth the upcharge. Service is pretty good. I had the Italian scramble and it was great. Hash browns are perfect. I grew up in Crystal, but this is across town and I had not heard of it before. I look forward to coming back for some more comfort food in the future. Would like to have a gluten free toast option, many folks are looking for that. I might suggest a lighted open sign, it’s welcoming to bring in customers.
Great home cooked comfort food. Locally family owned and staff really cares. Great portion size as well. Come on in and try them you will not be disappointed. Glad we still have family owned places to go.Great job to the team here.
Service sucked. Waitress pretty much through my drink and salad on table with no kindness. Did not ask what dressing I want I had to yell across room to let her know cause she never asked no smile no nothing.very crabby. I was by my self order was simple salad. Nice to all old customers but very rude to me. I will not leave a tip and she needs to be nicer. I understand I hard with no works but being rude make for a never come back idea. Doesn't even know me☹️? Her name I believe was Callie worst service I have ever had at Crystal's the guy does better he at least takes his time to listen and asked if all was alright.
Breakfast is great! I’ve been coming here for 20 years whether by myself or with my family. I’ve never had a bad meal and nobody can complain about portions or the temperature of the food. Great cooks, and the servers are all nice and expedient as the crowd situation will allow. I’ve had lunch here also, but the breakfast is what brings me back on a regular basis.
New favorite restaurant, everything about this place was amazing. Some of the tastiest food ive had in a long while, homemade biscuits and gravy was fresh and delicious. Homey diner vibe, enough food for two people, very well priced for the quality of ingredients and cooking. Hidden gem, would rate higher if I could.
Cute little neighborhood Cafe, good breakfast, nice portions, and very friendly staff, it's apparent that their customers are regulars as many were on a 1st name basis. It was our 1st time here and will definitely return
Great neighborhood eatery! Good food, excellent friendly service, coffee cup is always full and hot. Menu has a good variety of tasty options and specials! Crystal Cafe is worthy of success and patronage!
Stopped in for just a Belgian waffle at 7:00 in the morning. My friend had been craving them all of last night and we saw that they had some and went inside for the first time. Wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere and the Belgian waffle brought tears to their eye!
Breakfast is my favorite meal so I’m sensitive to poor quality. A friend of mine and I ate there recently and he had an omelet while I had my usual - eggs sunny side up lightly cooked, sausage, toast and hash brown. The eggs were hard which didn’t bother me much as eggs are hard to make all the time to various tastes . The problem was the sausage links. I’m not exaggerating by saying they had the consistency of a tree limb . Dry, hard and tasteless . I didn’t say anything until I was done as I didn’t want to be offered replacements. My friend did enjoy his omelette however. Used to eat in this place every week before it changed hands. I now know why it was empty other then myself and my friend, Covid affects everything and this place isn’t the exception I guess. Ten bucks for the crappy breakfast just didn’t seem right and btw the eggs were tiny. Won’t be back
