Our food was amazing and incredibly flavorful!! Highly recommend
A+ on presentation, I'm very happy that I was able to try this place, but I was looking for more depth in flavors. The plates looked amazing, and the service was excellent. I just wish the food tasted as good as it looked, don't get me wrong it was okay. Looking for more cheese in the potato cakes, most of the marinade just tasted like vinegar to me. Perhaps that's the way it's supposed to be, it just wasn't my thingCeviche had wonderful fresh flavors, but for only getting about five or six shrimp I thought the price was a bit high
Everyone I have brought here has loved it. The food tastes good, plenty of seating, decent service (I think there's room for improvement here). Fresh flowers are a nice touch to the tables. I've been here a couple different times and tried different items on the menu.
I've never had something I didn't like here. The authentic Ecuadorian cuisine is so delicious I invite everyone I know to come. In the warmer months there is some limited outdoor seating that is really nice. Great spot to meet some friends and enjoy amazing food!
Another hidden gem! My wife is from Ecuador and she said this place is legit! Excellent food and quality ingredients. Very friendly wait staff and great service. They are closed from 3-5 so plan accordingly. Also, the secret is already out so this place is usually packed during lunch/dinner hours but they have plenty of tables and the wait isn’t very long ever.
so i have been to chimborazo before for dinner but it was a date so i didn’t get any pictures…but now i am back with that date as my wife and she supports my food photos! we both agreed that this is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in the metro! delicious, authentic ecuadorian food that is hearty and fresh! the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is charming and inviting! definitely will be back!
Churrasco (Flank steak marinated in highland spices and grilled. Served with rice, fried egg, beans, sweet plantain, fresh cut fries, and curtido)Caldo de Bolas de Verde Green (Plantain dumpling filled with meat and vegetables in a savory peanut broth)Chimborazo was no bore at all. The interior is humble with cultural adornments galore. It was quiet for the first hour, after which this place got poppin’; we didn’t see a single table free during our departureThe Churrasco was my choice. I’ll admit, the plate looks a bit confusing… but it bore its burden of proof quite well, blowing past my expectations. The beef was a flavorful medium-rare, served slice-it-yourself style, which is my preference. The fries weren’t bad at all, the beans added much needed moisture, and the sweet plantains were a perfect compliment to this savory-forward dish. And whoever’s idea it was to put an over-easy egg atop rice… oh ya, it’s pretty nice ? A few vegetables were a nice way to freshly furnish a dish sourced from the Andean highlands. And finally, the Curtido (green sauce) deserves a comment. It’s a lightly fermented Cabbage Relish—delicious and spicy, it reminded me of a subtle wasabi. It was also gone by the end of the meal…My fellow foodie tried the soup and thought it was pretty good, but its clear the Churrasco embodies the true character of Chimborazo! This little place is a fantastic way to stamp your palate passport and try something new! Thank you to Dan for joining me!!Big shotout to Anne S and @landonconrath for the recommendation!
Had a lovely lunch with my father. It was his first outing after an extended hospital stay. He was using a walker and the staff was so great, they told me to pull up to the front door and even helped walk my Dad to the car! The food was delicious! I tried the Halibut with patacones and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My Dad had the breaded chicken with cheese filled potato cakes.
I love this place. One of those restaurants where you feel honored to get to have access to the flavor and want to try every dish. I’ve had take out from here a couple of times and just had my first dine in experience since the pandemic and it was a very warm environment. Enjoyed eating there with a friend and getting take out with my partner. Would be really good for a “parent’s in town” kind of meal too! Seco de Carne and Churrasco are awesome! Also stellar tres leches.
Food was very good. Our waiter was patient and helpful. We had a very good experience. Also, if you ever find yourself in a place that offers sangria slushies, get one. This place does.
