Definitely a good stop if you are in the neighborhood. We bought a brisket sandwich and a burger with potato wedges and mac and cheese. The brisket sandwich was really good, with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. But the burger topped everything.Things to note: there is no indoor seating, so plan the weather according me. There are six picnic tables outside, and they are first come first serve. They do have umbrellas for a little bit of shade.Overall, we will be back. I will likely try the chicken sandwich next time!
The best BBQ I’ve had in Minnesota. It seems every BBQ place we try doesn’t hold a candle to BBQ in the south, but Boomin’ Barbecue is every bit as good as the southern hotspots.Everything we had was fantastic. The brisket melts in your mouth, and the lamb neck fell right off the bone.The mac and cheese is perfect — just the right amount of creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. I just wish we had ordered more to eat later!
If I could give them 6 stars I would!This was the best food in the city.Can't speak on anything eles they have but the Wagyu burger.I've had burgers from all over the country because i travel for work so much but this is in my top 3 if not #1. The bread is soft almost like a croissant and blend of 5+ cheeses is a work of art in your mouth.I can't praise this burger enough. It's 1 of a kind. And the staff is amazing.Make sure you go next door to get something to wash the food down with. They have a bunch of local beers for all taste buds.
Wow...the flavor this sandwich packed was amazing to say the least. I didn't get aioli but friend did, for an odd reason. Tried his, was tasty. For me their fries (jojo style) are just ok to me. I'm also not big into that style. Just too much potato and two of my pieces were slightly underdone. Well seasoned though. I'll for sure come back to get some more BBQ!
I have lived in the south my whole life and very particular about my BBQ. This place is 1000X the best I have had in Minnesota. Great people, amazing food! Go check it out!
I’ve had BBQ in KC, TX, and great local stuff… and I rarely post reviews. This stuff is ridiculously good. Some of literally the best Mac and cheese I’ve had anywhere ever. The best collards I’ve ever had. Solid slaw. Pulled pork off the charts. It’s pricier than I’d like for something blocks away that I’d love to randomly and often hit up, but you will know immediately where your money went when you visit.
Never disappoints. I don’t know how they do it, but this sh*t is next level. I can’t recommend it enough. Boomin is unequivocally the best barbecue in the twin cities. Give them a shot, you won’t regret it.
