Open mic ? comedy on Sundays at 7:30pm is so much fun! It’s downstairs and hosted by Foz Huze. It’s in Dinkytown the heart of college town with the intellectual U of M students and fun party crowd. This Irish ☘️ Pub does not disappoint. It’s full of Blarney!
Service was fine, drinks were fine. What wasn’t fine was realizing the bartenders have changed my tip amount the two times I have gone. I always tip with rounded dollars so it’s always fun to see my credit card company asking if I tipped, for example, $8.43 instead of $7 or $8.
Great college bar. Excellent toilet paper, which is surprising. Definitely 3 ply. Friday’s and Saturday’s are awesome with the DJ’s. Bartenders are super chill and drinks are good.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Had a very large group today, when we walked in, wE found a table and our waitress completely skipped over asking for one of my tables orders. Had to ask for them to take one of my tables orders, very unsatisfied. Ended up cancelling all orders because we needed to leave and it took more than an hour for ANY of us to get our food. Oh and I didn’t even mention the RAT that was there. Went to Jimmy Johns (5/5 stars - highly recommend) down the street.
If you don’t know how to read real IDs and decline actual customers, you need to do something about that. Judging based on someone’s appearance and if they’re old enough really sucks when you are actually of age and just short with a baby face. Find another way to read cards (especially if it is such an issue) and figure out if they’re fake. Don’t discriminate on far away states when you are located near a college with students from every state.
Blarneys rhymes with Barney and with a name like that you can't go wrong. Plus unlimited spaghetti sometimes
Blarney bouncers are unqualified and disrespectful. You will never get my business again. My female 5’4 friend was dragged by the arm and grabbed around the east to be drugged out of the bar because she allegedly threw a piece of plastic across the bar. he would not talk to her or reason with her. That is no reason to ever use such force ESPECIALLY with a woman half of his size. I will never come here again and have been a patron for years. An absolute joke. Do better. There’s a reason Blarney representation has been going down for years.

Came here with my husband and friend after a concert last month and I'm honestly not sure how this place is operating. We went to the basement to grab drinks and it was a Friday night with a DJ upstairs. I looked at the ceiling and noticed it was bouncing up and down violently because of people dancing upstairs. It looks like it's ready to collapse and seems extremely unsafe.
