Great atmosphere with good food and drinks. I enjoyed the sound of the waterfall while eating. However, there were a lot of ants on the patio when I was eating—be sure you aren’t seated at a table near an ant mound!
My wife & I had dinner at Aster for the first time last night (7/22). The thing you notice first is how wonderful the area is. People biking/walking, the other businesses in the area, the buildings and all their history...I could go on.When we walked up to the patio it was packed so we assumed a long wait time. However, once checked in we were at our table in less than 5 minutes.Matthew was our server. He was polite and knowledgeable, stopping by our table often throughout the dinner for refills and whatnot. Great Service! The food was really good. My wife & I shared the charcuterie and smoked salmon salad. She ordered the basil flatbread, I ordered the Hawaiian sandwich. Everything was hot (or cold) and tasted fresh! We can't wait to go back again soon! Maybe in the fall when it's just a touch cooler outside!
Nice setting along the river, great views! Parking might be challenging, but if you can't find a spot along the road, there is a parking garage behind the block for $7.50. Great tomato bisque, charcuterie board. The truffle flatbread was ok. We were there on a Friday night, it wasn't super busy, our server was on her phone more time than she spent on us, so didn't feel super taken care of. The live music was great but it is impossible to have a conversation inside, so in the end we had to take our table outside.Overall, a good place.
Delicious food! Great service! Friendly, fast, even offered to take a pic for us? Avocado toast was the best I've ever had
We enjoyed a delightful brunch on a Saturday. The hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was extra creamy and the fennel sausage blended spice and flavors well. The classic turkey sandwich came with a tasty mayo and great bread. The outside seating is calm and roomy. The service was impeccable.
Brisket grits - 5 stars. Delicious wouldn’t change a thingCountry Benedict- 5 stars. Eggs cooked perfectly every time I’ve got it, and the breakfast potatoes are greatFrench toast bake - 5 stars. Really delicious. Unlike any french toast I’ve had. I wish it had more strawberries though.Lox - skip it. To much lemon flavor, the lemon was to strongOverall - 5 stars, one of my favorite brunch places
The atmosphere and ambience is special. It feels like a café in Europe. They have live music and great food options. You can’t beat the view of the river. Went for brunch for the first time, small menu but the Lox was delicious; I would definitely order it again.Indoors is best for small groups. Their outdoor patio is large but doesn’t take reservations so there might be a short wait at busy times and beautiful days.We each got two drinks and a brunch entree for about $56 (includes tax, tip, and $5 Cover charge per person for the swing band)
Really cute spot with nice decor and a nice patio view, we split the spicy chicken flatbread and beet and feta salad which was a perfect amount of lunch for two people. The beet salad was especially delicious, the feta cheese was very good.
Beautiful automosphere, both inside and outside when the weather permits. The lighting and interior is gorgeous, the music is lovely, with love music featuring at certain times. I had the Bahn Mi, which was delicious. The flavors were well balanced and the bread was freshly made.Card only, you can pay right at the table with the server when ready. No waiting.
We've been a fan of Aster for years and pretty much always enjoy our time there. On this visit it seemed like the tables were packed a little more tightly than before, and it was awkward navigating over and past people's legs/bags/coats to enter and exit the space. The beet salad was great!
