I used to love amazing Thailand but recently the food flavor and quality has gone down. I suspect their food quality has become a victim of skimp-flation and they've been making cutbacks but I'd rather pay more for quality food than save money on something that doesn't taste good. There's not much that tastes "Amazing" here anymore.
I should first preface that Tai food is not something I frequent, but the few times I have it was great. Amazing Thailand is great. I ordered pick up so can only comment on the food. The Tom Kha soup was a little different than what I’ve had at other Thai establishments. Regardless it’s pretty hardy with the amount of veggies and the coconut milk was just the right amount of sweet. I also had the Pineapple Fried Rice and added shrimp. The flavors here compliment each other and are balanced so well…from the traditional fried rice ingredients to the raisins and pineapple. Kinda wish there was bit more pineapple, but was still amazing. The shrimp was good size and cooked perfectly! I ordered the spice level at 2x but should have gone higher. Not much of a kick at 2. Whoever was cooking … EXCELLENT!! I would say the prices seem a little on the high side, but once you see the portion size it’s definitely shareable or can be made into more than one meal. Great first experience.
My hubby and I have been coming to this place for awhile now and I have to say that Amazing Thailand, never disappoints us!! We're both cultural diverse when it comes to trying out different ethnic/cultural foods and the food here is AMAZING, just like their name lbvs!!!! They're pretty spendy but the quality and portions of their food wouldn't have you guessing or wondering why. My hubby and I always feel welcomed and respected whenever we come. We always dine in because the atmosphere is so calming and beautiful. The interior is decorated with cultural decor and the lighting is perfect!!!
I was amazed at the $38 I spent on noodles, fried pumpkin, and Thai iced tea! This is easily the most I have ever spent on Thai food for one anywhere. I was unfortunately not amazed or blown away by the quality. It wasn't bad but it sure didn't live up to the prices they ask... It was edible. And I do really prefer to see my food a little bit better than the lighting would allow.
Used to be my favorite place for Thai food but since the pandemic they’ve changed in customer service, food pricing, taste of food, and quality of food. Service is more passive, less hospitable. Pricing went up in the middle of the pandemic, which I’d be fine with both they service less proteins and veggies in their dishes. The flavor is still there but it’s been inconsistent. I don’t despise this place but I won’t get them as often. They’re convenient because they’re nearby. I hope they bring back their generous portions of protein and veggies. We have friends and family who’ve been here and noticed the changes as well. I hope the owner sees this review and makes changes for improvement or they will lose more of their southeast Asian customers.
Good: Food is amazing there and thats why I keep going back despite bad service.Bad: Almost always have to wait 20 minutes before a server asks for drinks.They messed up my order for the third time. Drinks was brought after appetizers were finished. They also forgot one of the appetizers and brought after dessert. Worst of all, it wasn’t even half busy as it usually is.
The vibe is pretty cool and the food is amazing! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered the beef egg rolls, Pad Thai and the Red Curry with beef. Those egg rolls are huge and have so much flavor. The Pad Thai was so good but the Red Curry was the best! I ordered 5 on the spicy level and it was perfect. The broth was sweet from the coconut milk and spicy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the beef was tender. This is probably one of my top 3 Thai places in Minneapolis. I am a fan.
Delicious Thai foods served in a relaxing atmosphere decorated with Thai art and style. Great service and some of the best Thai dishes I have ever eaten. Fresh, great vegan options and attentive service. A must-try for Thai food!
