Outstanding food! I don't usually enjoy marinara sauce when at a restaurant because the sauce isn't near as good as Grandma's. Today was an exception. The marinara sauce that came with the cheese curds was fabulous! I would go back just for that and they offer so much more good food too. The Saucy Sally was delicious. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and a little messy as a good burger should be. The onion rings were thick and cooked just right. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the Twin Cities.

The original 5-8 Club location, a very friendly and cozy restaurant. It's rather small but I think that's nice and it makes it more intimate.
Solid burgers, good beer, and fun decor. It has been longer than I can remember since I have been to the 5-8 Club and I am sorry I have been away so long. My wife wanted a Juicy Lucy so we made the trip and I am glad that we did. The burgers were delicious, the beer was cold, and the service was top notch. If you are in the market for a good burger then the 5-8 Club is your place.
Delicious hamburgers featuring the regional specialty "Juicy Lucy" -- a burger with melted cheese on the inside. The menu is isn't too varied beyond burgers and different sandwiches, which has let them specialize on a great burger. They also had a variety of draft beers, which I appreciated. Onion rings were delicious, and the French fries are, too. I believe they as have a bar area, so the drink menu is probably more varied than I realized at the time.The place was busy shortly after what I expect to be the usual "lunch hour". You may want to plan ahead if you have a larger group or are in a rush.
Big thanks to Jessica at the Maplewood location for the awesome service today! She was the only server and rocked it for our large funeral party, in addition to the rest of the customers. Will definitely be back soon!
We were visiting Minnesota, with a travelling sports team, from Florida. We visited the 5-8 Club just to try it and taste local food. once we arrive we requested seating for 25 people, the guy in the front almost fell to the floor. But he make it possible to make room for all of us. The servers also were very busy, but also had a good attitude and make all of us happy taking order, bringing drinks, and making sure we had a great experience (most important the young girls from the team). Food was really good tasting I got the Saucy Sally, with Sweet fries and marshmallow sauce. It was very good and the meat with a freshly made taste. The atmosphere has a local feel place, and other patrons were talking to us very friendly about where we from and the good things about the City. Knowing how difficult are this times; kudos to the staff that were working on Sunday 20th and worked hard to give us a good experience even with a big group.

Food was great. We had an abundance of fried pickle chips and a much smaller serving of cheese curds for appetizers. Most of us had burgers, including the famous Juicy Lucy. Staff was very friendly and attentive and I liked the atmosphere. They were somewhat busy but it never felt crowded. We will definitely return.
This spot was decent. Originally went with a couple friends to try the famous Juicy Lucy, however, ended up really loving the onion straws significantly more than the actual burger. The burger was okay, was expecting it to actually be "juicy" and stuffed with cheese but the one we got had very very little. However, the onion straws, which we expected to just be okay, were unbelievable. They provided an enormous quantity (even for 3 people) and I ended up cleaning the plate. I may not go back for the burger, but I would absolutely go back for those onion straws.
