I’ve had great experiences in the past but tonight I ordered a Big Beef combo and a beef and cheddar croissant. We order them both dry with gravy on the side but they both came wet. My croissant tasted old and the beef itself had a microwaved taste to it and also had some weird coloring to it. We hesitantly ate what we could. About and hour later we both became nauseous and ended up throwing up. I’m not one to write a good or bad review no matter what but this was a TERRIBLE experience for the both of us. Plus they sure love to automatically up-charge combos to a ‘large’ even without a request to do so. Portillos lost a couple customers tonight. Good luck to others!

Drive thru service was poppin. Team was phenomenal and really enthusiastic.Food was not too bad, my first time being here even though I pass by it often.Hot dogs were pretty big, and had fresh and crunchy (not slimy/squished) toppings.

First time eating inside here. My son just finished the 2nd grade and brought him here as a treat. Every single person was beyond genuinely friendly. Made us feel welcome. They even seemed to pick up on this special bonding moment and the manager bought my son a piece of chocolate cake. Hands down restored my faith in going to restaurants to sit down and eat. There was a lady there also working the dining room that was very sweet and checked in on us several times. My son and I will be making this a regular event. I can't stress enough how awesome everyone was and their customer service was highly appreciated today.

When we are in the mood for Chicago style hot dogs or Italian beef sandwiches with peppers, this is where we come. Indoor seating is vast, and there is a large outdoor seating area as well. Today, it was Chicago dogs with fries and diet soft drinks. The Chicago dogs are the real deal, so we always order the jumbo because a regular hot dog is going to get lost in the swirl of peppers, pickles, tomatoes, onions and relish that are the hallmark of a great Chicago dog. Our meal was very much on point, but I do wish that we did not have to return to the counter for pop refills. This is where the restaurant needs to upgrade.

Overall not bad. Huge draw back was the hitched was way behind. At least 6 groups were waiting for their food. No one in line to order though. Took almost 20 minutes to get the food and they forgot about one of the combos entirely. We went back up and it was a few more minutes until we got it. The kids were patient enough waiting fortunately. The food was hot and tasty. I had the Italian beef with sausage combo. The kids had hotdogs and the wife had the chicken sandwich. She tried some of my sandwich and will definitely be getting that in the future. I am a big fan as well. The chicken sandwich was good but way over mayo-ed. I am sure we will be back again at some point.

My first time here. The atmosphere is casual with memorabilia all over the walls. The line to order moved quickly, you got your order fast. The double cheeseburger was huge. You will need a napkin as it drips with deliciousness! The French fries are great and pairs well with the cheese sauce for dipping. Not your typical fast food. I love this place!

I received another incorrect order. I should have parked and check the contents in bag before taking off. If I ever go again, I'll remember to do that.

I was in the mood for a Chicago style hotdog and since I was helping my brother move I decided to check the area for such eats. Found Portillos and was not disappointed. The esthetics of old Chicago gangs and the early eras were enjoyable to look at. The Chicago dogs were definitely enough to get full on and it was a must to have a slice a chocolate cake. One thing to note is if you catch them right as they're making the cakes the air is permeated with fresh chocolate cake and makes you even hungrier than when you walked in. The price was definitely not bad for 5 people...around 10 dollars per person.

This is a reminder of home back in Chicago so we were excited about o try it. If you’ve been following me, you’ll know that I’ve been only trying to eat plant based things. They offer a Grilled Portabello mushroom sandwich. I had never had a mushroom before, as I’m a texture person & asked that they char it. It wasn’t what I expected it to be but it wasn’t their fault. I’ll give them an A for effort because they remade it & even threw in a piece of cake for the inconvenience. Great Job & that’s what hospitality is about ??7/10 P.S I assembled it myself as I asked for everything to be on the side. ?? comes with pesto & balsamic glaze, tomatoes, onions on a Tomato ciabatta bun
