I have only been there once. It’s okay. To be honest, I think my husband cooks better steak! I don’t quite care about the steak I ordered but the service is excellent! Especially when they are helping you packing your leftovers!
Great place to eat. Had the 24 oz dry aged bone in ribeye (Manny's special) medium rare with onion and mushroom on the side. Was fantastic. Also had the sea scallops Benedict which was also great. The wife had order the pistachios crusted walleye which she loved and I also tried of which I found to be really flavorful. Ended the meal with the Pittsburgh brownie and let me tell you, couldn't of been a better way to end the meal. Service was great. Riley was our server tonight and he and the team did a great job. Water never ran low, his suggestions were great. Service was spot on and food were perfect. Couldn't of ask for a better night out for dinner with the wife. Highly recommend and I will for sure be back!
Excellent Filet Mignon Oscar-style. Broccoli was cooked to perfection (not pictured). Asparagus was a LITTLE over cooked, but delicious, just the same...AND I asked for regular horseradish, not creamed and I recieved an actual amount of it! Not a little ramiken, where I'd have to ask for more, 4 times! Service was good. Polite staff. Fast service. Nice atmosphere. Dinner menu served along side the lunch menu.
First visit and was not disappointed. Best fillet mignon I've ever had! The Sunday Supper special was a great value. If planning to come during prime hours, I recommend making a reservation.
We sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon for ? martinis and ? mushrooms among other items. Bar area is dimly lit for ambiance. Brianna our server recommended the cauliflower as a starter and it was fantastic , as was she. We will be back to this dimly lit bar.
Excellent service. Very attentive staff and of course, great food.
My husband and I went to PB after work one day. We had been once before the pandemic and the food and service were exceptional. This time was complex different. It took a little too long for the waitress to acknowledge us, but ultimately we were able to order. We indicated that we wanted to split a Caesar salad. We then ordered two different aged ribeyes and a side of roasted mushrooms. I saw the waitress write down our order correctly. We got our Caesar salad, and it was fine, nothing extraordinary. Then we kept waiting for our steaks. The food was finally delivered to us and it was not what we ordered — there was a filet, a porterhouse, and broccoli. We told the food delivery people that this had to be for another table because it was ALL wrong. The food was whisked away and 5 minutes later the waitress came by to ask what was wrong. We explained what happened and she said she would look into it. Five minutes later the waitress came back and explained that she had “somehow” ordered the wrong food. She chuckled and said “sorry.” She promised that the correct order would be out shortly. We waited. I ordered a second glass of wine to split with my husband, which the waitress said she would comp. The correct steaks finally arrived, but now with mashed potatoes. We explained again that we had ordered roasted mushrooms. After we were half done with our steaks, the roasted mushrooms arrived. PB is an expensive restaurant. Diners have a right when they’re paying those prices to expect good service. We didn’t get it.
So delicious. Server was very friendly.
We booked a reservation for a large group and the manager emailed me over a confirmation stating a dining minimum that she didn't verbally clear with me. I emailed back to ASK if it would be an issue if we came below the minimum and Ashley said "that would be fine" so I assumed there wouldn't be an issue. On the morning of our reservation I emailed Ashley to ask if we could set up a birthday surprise for one of our guests, she didnt get back to me so I called the restaurant. I spoke with an employee AND a male manager to confirm who the bill goes to and exactly what guest is to receive the birthday surprise. They said this would be handled. During the dining experience, an employee of Pittsburgh Blue told our ENTIRE group that we didnt meet the minimum. Our team stated this had been handled with a manger already (Ashley). A male manager of Pittsburgh Blue proceeds to come out to our ENTIRE group once again to tell us that we didnt meet our minimum. Not only did he force the whole group to listen to him explain why they have group minimums and why they don't "accept large groups" but he then argued with my boss who was trying to explain we already got this approved by Ashley. This would be outright embarrassing for Pittsburgh blue had this event been with our clients and not staff- either way not a good representation. Also- the birthday dessert NEVER got delivered and our team member wasn't celebrated. Needless to say, their communication from management to staff could be improved tenfold. Their managers (especially the male on on Saturday night) could use language training when speaking to guests and learn how to avoid ruining an entire group vibe. I would suggest not informing the entire group of something ESPECIALY bill related!! This review is coming from someone who worked in the service industry and fine dining for 7 years. Good cheesecake, great server with incredible upselling, we would never bring a group here again.
Had dinner with two friends and it was a spectacular meal. The filet mignon, sea bass, brussel spouts, creamed spinach, and fries were tasty. Our server Sandy was exceptional and did a great job. I appreciate her competence and attention to detail. She enhanced our dinning experience.
