Go here at least once a month. Very good service, and pretty good food.I overeat here every time I go, if that says anything good (it should)On the way out (after paying) they asked if we wanted anything last minute and quickly brought it out, a little cherry on top of the good service!Shows that even when busy, which is most weekend nights, they are not just trying to get you out of the way as fast as they can, which seems the case at most all you can eat places.
I haven’t been to Kyoto for three years. It didn’t surprise me at all that their prices went up. The restaurant was full, but their service was surprisingly fast, almost instantaneous. The sushi rolls and sashimi that we ordered were not bad at all.
We went as a family party of 6. We had great service. We all decided to get the All You can Eat since everyone was excited to be here and love sushi. Everyone ordered what they loved and we all shared, which was a great way to try different foods. There was 2 different kinds of sushi that 2 super fans of sushi could only have 1 piece each and my 16 year old almost threw up right at the table before he decided to just eat it. The 2 20 year old guys could normally eat without guilt but just couldn’t finish every last piece on the table. We only ordered what we could eat. However we were charged $37 for a service fee due to what was not eaten! Now I will be honest, I was impressed with what all of the guys ate and glad as to the amount they ate, especially since I was paying $30 each for 6 people. But a $37 service fee for what was not eaten?!? When the youngest person almost threw up eating one of the piece of sushi…..I won’t make them eat it. Well, there goes another restaurant to NOT go to again.
One of the better sushi places in the suburbs. It's all you can eat ordering off the menu including appetizers, main rolls and desert. All of the sushi rolls we ordered were delicious, our waitress was very helpful too. The restaurant was packed on this Saturday afternoon, I aways take that as a good sign. Each roll had its own district taste, they were presented well. We will definitely be back to this place. If you want real sushi, check this place out. It's fantastic!
This was my first time having sushi. I was really skeptical. I thought it was going to be a buffet concept, but it wasn’t. Each piece of sushi was made to order. Despite my reservations, I actually loved it. I tried many things and enjoyed everything. I will definitely go back.
Most of the food was good. The issue I had is when it was getting close to the 2 hour limit of eating there, I had not asked for the check yet, the waitress said “well, you need to pay for the items you didn’t eat! ????? My friend and I were shocked! There were maybe 3 tiny salmon rolls left and 2 other pieces of sushi!! It was so embarrassing since it was my treat and I had been there before and really enjoyed it! I understand it says on the menu wasting excess food you will be charged! , but this was FAR from excess!! I said okay, we will sit and eat the rest ! She replies “ oh no you have been here 2 hours, other guests are waiting!??? What the hell? I do not understand what her motive was! If she needed the table, fine we would leave, but then started an argument over wasting food? How rude, and I told her that! She replied she is not rude and for 5.90 I could pay for a carry out!!?? Whatever!! My friend thought I should ask for the manager, but at that point I was so confused, frustrated and annoyed I wanted the bill and just get out of there! I live closer to the Kyoto in Eden Prarie, I will go there from now on! She was unfriendly the whole time we were there, so I shouldn’t of been surprised! It takes so little to smile, be kind and just reasonable! I will never return to Maple Grove Kyoto again!
Always a great experience! Their menu has something for everyone on the sushi scale, and lots of other options as well with stir fry and noodle dishes. For value it's probably one of the best around. Staff is helpful, service is quick, and being able to progressively order throughout the meal is fun as well.
$50 bucks on Saturday for lunch w/ tip and tax for 2 all your can eat. Fast service. Food pretty good?
I come here quite often, a week and a half ago I made a reservation for 12 people on my birthday. They took my name and phone number. I arrived to find a paper note on the door that they have been closed for 2 days and will be closed for 5 more. No decency to call and say in advance they won't be open. Won't ever plan anything like that with them again.
To expensive for the amount of food we received. The Tempra shrimp was Overly Greasy ? Sorry but can not recommend.
