Not a single complaint. Food is quality and fresh, and as spicy as you want it. It's clean, it's low key, the bathrooms are spotless, the staff are super nice, the prices are reasonable, the variety is wide, and I could go on and on...
It doesn’t get better than this place in Mankato, coming from large cities where access to good food from restaurant is at easy access, this place saved my tastebuds while living in Mankato. Generally most restaurant in Mankato really lack on their flavor count, but you won’t have a problem here. My all time favorite is the PadThai. I would literally come back to Mankato just for the pad Thai! And when I order it extra spicy, they bring the heat. Which was suchhhh a blessing. While living there, ethnic food supplies for cooking are hard to access. But they really bring the flavor here with a bang. Go go goooo!!! They are life saving!!
So yummy! Finally found some Thai food in this town. Every dish we've had has been amazing! Thom yum and the other soup are both delicious! Best crab wontons I've ever had and the veggie egg rolls were perfect. The mild spice level works for me but not my kiddos so much but they like the appetizers.
First time back since new management took over. I was really pleased with everything I got! The veggie egg rolls were crispy and fresh, the Pad See-Ew was great as well. I got it with tofu and the tofu had a wonderful crust but was perfectly soft on the inside. I asked for mild spice and I feel like that delivered. The Thai iced tea was sweet and refreshing as well. Will definitely be going back!
We got the sesame chicken, tofu nuggets, and the yellow curry with basil. Some of the best food we’ve had in Mankato. Happy for the new ownership and that Mankato now has a great Thai option!
This place is amazing, the food is delicious and has great flavor. The thai tea is really nice, all of the appetizers are great, the curry rice is a standout. I would personally most recommend the seafood soup, the broth especially is bursting with flavor, with a perfect balance of spicy and sour, and the shrimps in it are delicious!
Wakai's is pretty good food! They had a good spice level to the noodle dish I shared with my partner. Everything was made to order, we were told, and we left feeling quite satisfied with our meal. We got soup to-go, and it was great reheated the next day. The store was nearly empty when we arrived, and the dining area wasn't super cozy. But if you're in the area and craving flavors from Asian culture, this place is worth a try.
My friends and I had Lily for our cashier and she was the sweetest! She was very helpful. Customer service is great, and the selection for food is also good!
I had to take time to leave a review. This is by far the best Thai food that my wife and I have had in MN. The service was excellent and the food... OMG. We started off with the app sampler. It was excellent with the Chicken Rolls being the stand out surprise. We go 3 entrees. The Sea of Fusion may be the best Thai dish I've ever had. If you are a fan of Thai, don't walk, run to Wakai's
By now I feel like the lady knows me lol.Food is bomb & wait time is mostly 10-20 mins depending how much you order. I don’t have to wait hours like when the previous owners were in charge! And Great portions as well!!! Love this place ❤️
