good food, great service! not bad price.
Great experience and quick service. The staff went above and beyond and helped us jump our truck when it wouldn’t start after our meal-shout out to the staff who allowed her to come out and help as she was the only one with jumper cables. And a big thank you to her for taking time to help us! Thanks to the patron who assisted as well. What a friendly group of people we met today and we will definitely be back! Side note-the nachos con queso were the best ever!
Worest experience ever. 4 tables recieved food ahead of us. No one came and told us why the delay. one sandwich had very one ribeye beef in it. all cheese and over salty mushrooms. Manager refused to come to our table.
We had heard good things about this place, specifically about their burgers and their alcoholic teas. Both true! We visited on a Saturday around 5. We did not have to wait and were seated in a booth right away. Our server was excellent and very attentive. Our food was delicious-- carnitas tacos, mushroom burger, sweet potato fries--all very good. The inside of the building was not at all what we expected. The outside makes it seem more upscale than it is. The inside is reminiscent of my grandparents' basement with the dark paneled walls, old carpet, and tired furnishings. Everything was in need of a good deep cleaning. I cringed as I watched a toddler crawling on the carpet! The ambiance pretty much consists of a large collection of taps, large screens all on different channels, and 80's music playing in the background. It's definitely a loud place. The menu had several fun options we will likely try out in the future, but probably via takeout, which seems to be a pretty streamlined operation here with a shelf just inside the door.
Where to start... They were recommended by the hotel, AND the business we were travelling to. Barbecue on brioche with fried jalapeños? Burger? Lime chicken tacos? The BEST pretzel sticks and cheese dip I have ever eaten. Cheese curds? YES...YES TO ALL OF IT!! Burgers are standard fare across the country. This one was good, so I'll move on to the more specialty or regional items. The pulled pork had fried onions, fried jalapeños, barbecue sauce and...mayo. Say what? I figured I'd go for it. The mayo cools the heat. It's not too spicy and was way better than I was expecting. It has a nice little kick. The pretzel sticks are the thickest sticks I've ever seen. Big, soft, parcut for easy pull apart, and just a hint of salt. The three cheese dip takes the trophy. Pretzles, fries, part of the brioche bun...we dipped until we wiped the dish clean. Fried cheese curds...they are huge. If you've never had anything like it, picture a cheese stick, but in a big cube instead. Perfectly gooey without being lava inside. light and crispy on the outside. It was so good, I forgot to try the dipping sauce that came with it. DOH! The chicken avocado lime tacos were a tad spicier than I prefer, but I had no lettuce on mine. I asked for a side of either guacamole or sour cream. That, and a beer, cooled it off and made it perfect for me. This ended up being the only place we ate in during our stay. Once with only two of us, and once with a large group. Service was good for both. Something on the menu for everyone.
I ordered takeout here through Doordash when I stayed in Mankato for the night. The Boulder taphouse is mediocre at best. my Stout burger didn't have fried onions and it was way overcooked for requesting medium rare. The food was barely warm, the lettuce was all pale and wilted. Food was edible but not good. Wouldn't recommend.
Placed an order for a plain bacon cheeseburger and cheese curds. Firstly the cheese curds were cold and looked like they were transferred from a left-over plate. I ordered a plain burger with cheese and bacon, however there was lettuce and tomato. Also the meat was not medium rare, more so well-done. When I called to inquire the manager didn’t seem to care. Said the cheese curds were cold because of the weather (Given I went to restaurant 5-10mins before pick up time and took a bite within 5 minutes of getting home, the food was not in the 16° weather for more than a minute.) The manager suggested if I wanted to get a plain burger I should write a note saying “no lettuce, tomato or pickles”, well this beats the whole point of “build your burger”, especially since I didn’t add any veggies in the first place. Food definitely was not up to my standards. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
We always have delicious food at this restaurant. We just went over there on Thursday night. We like to go over there around 4:30pm for Happy Hour drinks ? specials + 1/2 price appetizersMy husband likes the BBQ boneless wings & I like the fish tacos. Thursday night we even split a piece of cheesecake ?yum yum!!! They have a lot of specialty ? beers on tap as well.
We came in on a very busy Friday night. There was a wait, but the host accurately predicted the wait time & we were pleased to get seated within 30 min (like he said). The food & service were excellent; we had the cheese curds, fish tacos & burgers. All were great; my favorites were the fish tacos & my daughters sweet potato fries. We were surprised at how quickly our food came out too especially since the place was packed.
Great restaurant! We had a couple of drinks and burgers. Cheese curd burger, and a triple cheeseburger. It’s was all great and hoping to be back again soon.
