This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Mankato. The service is fast, and the food is hot. I'll be coming back soon.
Tasty authentic Mexican food. Huge variety of tacos (I prefer the rolled tacos, the carne asada, and the chorizo tacos). The guac is probably 50% sour cream, but is delicious! Most importantly, they'll hold the cilantro if requested!! I gave the drive thru 4 stars, but the best experience is dine in. Gilberto's does tacos right!
First time going to Gilberto’s and was kind of excited to try it because we heard sooo many good things. Went through the drive-thru and felt completely rushed. What we ordered was not what we ordered and was totally wrong, cold and very bland. We ended up throwing out what we had ordered. Extremely disappointed!
Open 24 hours, has a drive-thru, authentic Mexican food?! YES, YES, YES. It can't get any better, right?? WRONG! The staff is amazing, the menu is huge, the prices are great! Huge portions, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, even tamales!! I am originally from South Texas and was SO happy for Gilibertos to open because the rest of these "Mexican food" restaurants did not match up! Gilibertos is 10 out of 10 every time we go! Every single burrito and entre we have tried has been phenomenal! They also have desserts!!
Fajita mix, camarones a la diabla, and super fries (half order.) This was phenomenal. We also ordered two tamales. $43 total. The service was fast and friendly. Very good quality. You can see them cook it in the kitchen. Very impressed.
I've visited this place only recently after seeing it a few times. The drive-through seems like it always has at least 5 plus cars in it any day of the week any time of the day or night. So I was interested in checking it out, their menu is enormous there's gotta be 200 different dishes.. I have to Say the reason why I gave 3 stars is simply The simple fact that it's hard to get what you're trying to order anything is there any special requests or instructions for the cooks, it's hard to get your point across as big basic basic basic English is about all that is spoken. And I was expecting a bit more for seeing as busy as that place always is. But don't get me wrong, the comma that was with the 1st time I visited we went inside actually. The prices seem very decent. My fiance ordered enchiladas and I ordered a 3 large taco special.. I was satisfied but not Super super impressed but it was decent for sure worth the money worth The Visit. I did try my fiance's enchiladas, I was fairly disappointed as there was not much flavor there at all.. But I am gonna go and give them another Try and I may update my rating after that.
The food there is consistently amazing no matter what time of day I go. Great value, delicious fresh food, huge menu, friendly staff. I work swing shifts and don't get home until 3-5am and they are always there to make fresh food to order and it never takes more than 5 minutes, even when I'm ordering for 3-4 people. Very impressed with this place. P.S. the desserts are fire, don't sleep on those either.
Ordered steak Gordtia and didn't get anything close too. Got a corn tortilla with shredded beef and cheese, tried getting enchiladas with white sauce and couldn't. Chips where so greacy couldn't even eat them.
Best place in town. Have been to all as a mexican food lover and hands down i will be going back to themm didnt mess upp on my order. I suggest going in the first time to know what your getting and what comes with your meal. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Killing the mexican game at all 10 locations. Will be making this my go to fast food
