Authentic Japanese and Asian fare served in a stylish bistro setting in Edina. The food is fabulous. The service is a bit frantic but I think the staff is just working hard to keep everyone happy with limited personally. You can sit restaurant style and be served by helpful waitresses or sit at the sushi bar watch your meal be prepared. Full bar and strong choice on beer and wine. It does not fell like you are eating in a strip mall. A solid choice for lunch or dinner.
Saw the ratings and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Really basic tasting rolls. In my opinion taste similar to grocery store rolls. Not fresh, several day old fish and a bug in my drink to top it off. Came out really fast I mean so fast that it led me to believe that they were serving pre made rolls. I ordered and no less than 3 minutes later it was in front of me.
After 5 years of patronage, I will not return due to new waitresses; rude and demeaning especially when the place is empty. No smiles, no courtesy, no check back for food or water, plopping water and food on the table like it is a big chore.Asking me what I want without giving me a menu (yes! several times!). Coming back several times to collect the bill while I am still eating. Never have I been treated like this. The owners should be aware of this.
Waitress was very attentive to our table. Great hibachi....great miso soup. The California roll was also very good. Ginger squid Yaki and Dragon roll were also excellent! The Tempura was perfect...not over breaded!

Delicious fresh sushi - very extensive menu!
The lunch offerings were "okay," but not what we have been used to at some other places int he Twin cities area. The yellow tail suschi was a bit disappointing. Service was professional, but nothing exceptional.
My wife and I have been here numerous times in the past and would have given it a strong 4 star rating, until today.The place was almost empty today, only one other table occupied over the lunch hour. Shortly after our server dropped off our drinks, as we were deciding which rolls to order, my wife and I both witnessed one of the two (unmasked) sushi chefs open mouth cough right onto all the ingredients at the sushi bar. Even if COVID wasn't going on, that's downright disgusting and unsanitary. We left cash to cover our untouched beverages, and notified our server what happened and said we can't eat here anymore. It's really disappointing, because we liked this place and made a point of stopping whenever we were in the Southdale/Galleria area. But we will not be back after what we saw today.
