Nacho Chips was a bit hard but flavor of their tacos were great! The Nachos platter are huge and delicious. On this day I think they were understaffed as it took long to prepare our tacos.

We rented the taco truck for our party and it was perfect! The truck showed up at the time they said they would, they set up and got to work. They were polite and fun to work with. At the end of the party they packed up drove away and you didn’t even know they had been there.Definitely worth the money, the food was amazing as usual. My only advice is order extra Queso, it’s so good!

Updating my review as this place has really gone downhill over the past few months. My past 2 of 3 visits have had food so bad I had to throw it out. First, I must have gotten the end of the days queso batch as mine was full of what seemed like coagulated and burnt bits from the bottom. Next time it was an entire bag of stale, leathery tortilla chips.Tacos are still good, but chips and dips are unreliable.

I love Rusty Taco’s food and normally go to the Minneapolis location, but this Eagan location was really nice and had a lot of outdoor seating. I did have a mixup with my tacos and was unfortunately given battered fish after ordering grilled. No biggie, but if you have celiac/are gluten free that is something I would remind them of. I’ve had a similar experience at the Minneapolis location. They say they default to using corn tortillas, but again I would just remind them when ordering if that is a dietary need that you have.

The food is amazing, a lot of fun, different, combinations like the BBQ Brisket taco…I love that every time I go I can get something new! They have fish, low carb and vegan options….steak nachos are incredible!!! Excellent queso and free refills on chips. I tasted the margaritas tho & they’re pretty awful. Like one of the worst I’ve ever tried. The service also isn’t always the greatest but the food is good enough that it isn’t really a deal breaker. The only thing that my family and I don’t like about the food is the corn tortilla thingies are not the best. Just FYI They don’t always ask which one so you have to request a flour tortilla. Overall I’d say it’s a must try!

Let me start off saying this: I always loved Rusty Taco, I frequented the location off Randolph in St. Paul.My wife and I went for breakfast at the Eagan R Taco. I ordered a breakfast bowl, and my wife ordered a couple of breakfast tacos. The food and refrigerated hot sauce tasted a little off, but I figured it was fine. I’m not kidding when I say….. I have NEVER been SO SICK after eating at Rusty Taco. I’ve spent most of the afternoon/evening throwing up (projectile vomiting) all of my breakfast bowl into the toilet. YUCK.I read a lot of the reviews. They talk about lack of sanitary food prep, no hand washing, mice running around the dining room, dirty tables and floors, etc. Read them for yourself. For me, I wish I would’ve known this before. Unfortunately, this long-time R Taco connoisseur won’t be coming back for more?

Ordered 10 tacos through Uber eats. 3 showed up. Called the store and they offered to make me 10 fresh tacos if I drive up. Having ordered delivery for a reason, I was hesitant to drive 15 minutes, however, did anyway. The night manager said they’d be ready in 15. Perfect, I have a 15 minute drive so I hopped in my car and headed to the store. I arrive and they hadn’t started on they fresh order yet. I still stayed calm. Not the end of the world. Ordered a beer and drank it while I waited. When the new tacos were done I thanked them for offering to make a new batch instead of have me come pick up the 7 cold tacos that were left there. Afterall, it could have been the drivers fault for only grabbing 1 of the 2 bags so Rusty Taco may not have even been at fault for anything yet (outside of not having my fresh order ready when I arrived like they just said 15 minutes prior to me on the phone)(also mind you they were dead as it was a Tuesday night). I drive 15 miles home, open the tacos and every single one of the new order is wrong. Not a single taco was accurate. You can imagine how mad I was that now, an hour later, I’m finally home and find all the tacos are incorrect. Even the ones with the correct filling had incorrect shells (corn when flour order). Not. A. Single. Correct. Taco. I then call them again and tell them what they just did.. they said they couldn’t do anything about it until tomorrow morning when the GM came in. They took my info to call. Next day around 1 still no call. I call them and ask for the Gm. I spoke to GM and he assured me he would either credit the order in full or do a gift card (or something for the absurd troubles). He had to speak to his superior he said and would call back. It’s not been 1.5 days and no call back. I’m just going to chalk it up as a loss and never order again. I’ve been eating Rusty taco since the first year their St. Paul location opened by Trader Joe’s off Randolph. Out if principle I’ll sadly never had a shrimp taco again. Plenty of places to get a legit Al Pastor taco in order to satisfy a street taco craving. RIP R Taco……..you want to provide me an email address to send it to Todd and Carin?

6 employees working at 2pm. No wait to order and no orders before us. We were greeted right away but the rest of the staff were talking for quite some time or huddled in the back chatting. Ordered 6 tacos to go. Waited a long time for food ti be made. Got out to the car and they gave us 5 tacos. Go back in..get the other...now food is cold. Staff seemed more concerned about chatting. Hostess was nice and working. Love the food but service was not the best.

This used to be a favorite but unfortunately it has really gone downhill. It is always unpleasantly cold inside so unless their patio is open the dine-in experience is terrible. The food at our last visit was stale like it had been sitting around for hours, especially the queso which used to be great. The fact that we were the only customers in their at 5:30pm tells you all you need to know. We probably won’t be back any time soon.

Would've been 5-star if there were to-go order accuracy. Tacos missing toppings and dessert was missing honey sauce. Oh well... Better luck next time hopefully!
