Greatest brisket, fresh cut fries, and home made sauces ever!!
Asked and ordered Some “fattier” brisket, and this is what they gave me, probably couldn’t have had less fat on it, after reheating it’s pretty much cardboard with bbq sauce. That being said I do really love Rack Shack but this sucked, lesson learned to double check your food before leaving.
Really good, didn't expect much from Minnesota BBQ, but they know what they're doing here. The meats and sides my girlfriend and I had were cooked perfectly and the portions were nice. I had the ribs with Mac and cheese and she got this loaded bowl thing with pulled pork. A little pricey but worth it for a "day out". The sauces were definitely the stars of the show.
Sadly, I have given it a try 3 times, hoping it would be better each time and it was actually worse each time. Their sides are not good, and the BBQ is WAY over cooked. The last order I got was for ribs, and I ended up throwing them away because they felt like dust on my tongue.
Not proper bbq for a North Carolinian, but damn good for what it is.Not sure how to reply to owners question, so editing this to do so: I was taking multiple shots of the Carolina Vinegar sauce out of the little plastic cups. Also really enjoyed the Houston heat and the ghost pepper one; it was pretty light on the ghost pepper, but the flavor was fantastic.
YUM!!! Tried the sliders, loved the brisket, liked the pulled pork, chicken was ok. (My spouse loved the turkey!!) Smoked baked potato, WOW!!! Excellent service, meal was ready quickly, love the choices of sauces!!!
This is another must visit. We hadn't been to this newer location yet and we weren't disappointed. We had the three meat Hobo platter (we chose the brisket, pulled pork and chicken). Absolutely delightful! I highly recommend you try it!The 1280 Patriot burger was also tried with BBQ'ed beans. Holy cow (no pun intended), that was awesome. Just phenomenal flavor!Believe it or not, they also have fantastic milkshakes. My suggestion? The caramel! It's a must have!I hope this helps. Cheers.
I ordered online. Idk if they know how to cook the pork or not. I did not try that. I ordered the brisket. Worst brisket I have ever eaten. It was like a dried out chewy roast. It was either over cooked or reheated for multiple days. Either or, absolutely horrible. And it had almost no smoke flavor to it as well. Brisket is supposed to be melt in your mouth. Also they did not trim off the fat cap like you are supposed to. The potato salad was not good at all and the Cole slaw was dry like eating a cabbage salad with no dressing. So not impressed.
Ordered both the brisket and the ribs. Both were very dry. Potato salad had an odd flavor. Corn bread was good. Maybe this was just an off day for them.
I'm a big fan! The two main reasons to go here: they have a HUGE selection of different bbq sauces covering a wide variety of styles and levels of spicy-ness that you can try with your meal, some or all, as much or as little as you want, and most of them are really good (but the Houston is my personal favorite). Second, their hobo meals are a wonderful mix of foods and flavors at a great price. It's the only meal I order here and my friends are always jealous if they order something else and get less food for more money than me. The hobo meal is a baked potato and then they pile on what looks like a full side serving of Mac and cheese and Cole slaw (and maybe one or two other sides that I'm forgetting) and then top it off with your 1-3 meats of choice. You add the sauces you want and get to mix and match flavors on your heaping plate of food for like $12. There are often leftovers... And the food is so good, you need to try this place!
