This is a popular spot for brunch on the weekends, so it was great to be able to make a reservation online. What the exterior of the strip mall restaurant lacks in appeal, the interior more than makes up for! The decor is hip, comfortable, and classy. All the staff we interacted with were kind and polite, despite being swamped. Our server, Megan, gave us just the right amount of attention and was patient as we mulled over the menu. So many interesting choices, it was hard to narrow it down. But we were both delighted with what we settled on. The Tater Tot Skillet and Fiesta Omlete were both delicious! But I almost forgot that we started with the Mimosa Kit that included 1 bottle of champagne, 3 juices, fruit, and macaroons! Since we were celebrating a birthday, ordering this treat seemed appropriate. It was all thoroughly enjoyable!Side note: Anyone bringing their beloved Boomer parents may want to give them a heads up about the all genders bathroom. We witnessed a couple of confused Grandpas not quite sure how to navigate the restroom space.

We ordered the Pot Roast and the Parmesan risotto. Both we're very good. The place was busy yet the service was great and the food was hot and delicious.

This was an interesting experience. The first thing we noticed was the noise. The entire place is basically one big room with nothing but hard surfaces, so nothing to absorb and dilute noise. And boy is there noise. It's a domino effect of people talking louder and louder to be able to hear each other over the ever increasing noise. As far as the food goes, it was nothing special. I had the eggs Benedict. OK. Not great. My one sister had the tater to holding. Looked good. I guess I don't know if she liked it because if she said anything I couldn't hear her. My other sister had the "biscuits and gravy". I put it in parentheses because there's what every other place in the world considers B & G and then there's what this place does. She took about 3 bites and was done. There was no gravy, per se. It was a cheese-based sauce of some sort with an egg on top. She didn't think their was an sausage in the concoction either, a B & G staple. To their credit they took it off our bill. Overall the food was just OK and the portions were very small. But again, it was the noise that was the deal breaker for me. I currently have a splitting headache. There's no return trip for us. As a side note, my wife and daughter had been here before for lattes. That is their regular outing, trying different places. She said the lattes here were horrible. She also warned me about the noise. So be warned. I'm off to take some aspirin.

We tried going without reservations on a Sunday, was told an hour wait, so we decided we would try again the next weekend but plan ahead with reservations. Was pretty excited to try a new place, and it being so busy was expecting good food. 2 of us had the classic eggs Benedict, another had the lobster Benedict...they were all less than decent. The muffin was very soggy, and the meat was about half of what should have been. The rosemary potatoes were also just mediocre. Prices were much higher than they should have been. My boyfriend had the biscuit and gravy, he said that was pretty good but it was a very small dish. I did enjoy the mocha I ordered though. 4 of us, 2 drinks and 1 coffee was $105. It was not worth it, and we won't be back.

We have had take out from MJK, but had never eaten in, until last night. We had reservations and the place was packed with people waiting when we got there. We gladly waited until a table was cleared for us. The first minor problem was some in our party were given breakfast menus at night, not a big deal it took a while to figure out what was going on because they look exactly alike except the test. Other issue was there was only one drink menu for the party of 4. Again, not a big deal, but...The most irritating thing was the server seemed in hurry and kept coming back when we were clearing still trying to figure what we going to order. When we did order, the main course came out when we were still on salads. Food was great and will go back for that, but not the service.

Absolutely delicious food! Had fish fry and loved it! Fabulous food and fabulous service! Have eaten here before but never had fish fry.

Gave 5 stars because this restaurant does do a good job. They’re very well staffed. It’s clean. And the food is good. But, a note of personal taste: everything we ate was good but very mild. If you’re reading the farmhouse burger or butternut squash ravioli descriptions imagining a bold flavor, don’t.The chocolate cake was great and very cocoa forward. Like the above, the ice cream was good, but mild.I really love their mocktails though. Both the rosemary-citrus one and the blueberry one were great. My basil-blueberry mocktail had Prairie Gin in it - great local brand! But, continuing the theme of mildness, I feel I couldn’t really taste rosemary in one or basil in the other.

My spouse and I lunched here during restaurant week and we are happy we did! The service was excellent. We had an issue with one of the entrees and the team handled it quickly and appropriately. The food featured was delicious and the main menu offerings have us planning to come back. I've long been a fan of Cupcake and was excited to discover their restaurant. We'd dine here again for sure!

A wonderful brunch shared with a friend and our kids before sending the youngest back to his navy duties. I had steak and eggs and perfectly cooked hash browns. We all enjoyed the Irish coffee! The Mason Jar is a family favorite and a restaurant we recommend to many!

Not what I expected, but in a good way! Such an interesting and upscale menu! My husband and I both ordered the lamb shank, which was so delicious! Our server Kyle was the best! So attentive, friendly, and prompt. We don’t live in the Twin Cities anymore, but we will be back to visit soon!
