Every component of this meal was excellent. We started with the loaded hash browns (not pictured) and they were delicious; it was hard not to fill up on just that! The rest of their appetizer menu looks great and we talked about going back just to do apps another time.My BF got the ribs for dinner with potato salad and Mac n cheese; I chose the KY pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast. The sandwich had a layer of ham, topped with pulled pork and then the bacon-- I wasnt expecting the ham but it really enhanced the flavor! It was so big that it was hard to bite into as a sandwich and I ended up removing the top piece of toast and eating it open faced. We both tried a little of everything, and we both thought everything was great. Between the meals and app, we tried 4/5 sauces and all were good (I liked the one on my sandwich best; BF noted that the mustard sauce was more mustardy than BBQy). The pickled onions served on the side of the ribs had a nice tangy flavor. Portions are generous - We both went home with leftovers, plus leftovers from the app. +2 sodas, $60 before tip.Service was great-- it was a busy Saturday night, but the woman who served us was friendly, quick, attentive, and had a great memory. We sat on the patio and I highly recommend it if you can-- it's a very nice ambiance, and the live music was nice too!
We walked over from our hotel. It was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy some live music while dining. We originally intended on staying longer but unfortunately the beer selection wasn’t great. Mostly American and IPAs available with minimal dark options. The food was decent but nothing I will dream about
great food, fantastic service highly recommend any of the BBQ selections. Anything you get here you won't be disappointed.
Thank you for the excellent customer service today. I shared a wrap with a friend and it was plated separately and it look, tasted fabulous! Great afternoon with the patio and live music. I see your dog friendly and will be back with my pooches. Keep the live music and healthy options like chicken satay lettuce ? wraps coming?
We came here for a happy hour found it to be an above average suburban sports bar. The building and set up is nice, but it was surprising they didn’t have the patio open on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Great beer selection and it has a decent sports bar food menu. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty good, but it felt like they were understaffed. Overall we had a good experience and will be back when we’re nearby.
Overpriced, poor service at the door, food just okay. The green beans as a side for $9 - very disappointing. Also, this is my second time here. I come in from out of state on business and forgot my poor experience the first time. Both times I waited over 5 minutes at the door before being greeted by a staff member. This time they forgot to put my cheese curds with the order. Luckily I checked my bag before I drove away.
I visited this place because of the proximity to my hotel, and was amazed to find a local charm. The food was excellent, chef crafted cultural favorites. I ordered the Minnesota Walleye and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish was fried to perfection. The Minnesota wild rice pilaf was tasty as well. The almondine green beans were decent, the flavor was good, but personally I would've liked mine cooked a bit more. Overall, I loved the atmosphere of this place, the staff was friendly, and the customers were a diverse mix. I'm going back for the special Mother's Day brunch!!
Had a chance to visit this restaurant last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. We had a reservation and were seated right away. It's nice to find a place that will reserve tables for you these days. They have a great selection off beers on tap and great bar for mixed libations. Did I mention the food was fabulous? Good variety of appetizers to share and the meals were of generous sizes. Our table of 8 received our meals all at the same time, got and ready to eat. Our waitress was exceptional and took good care of use. The only hitch was that the acoustics were not good which made the area very loud, so it was hard to have conversations. However, it is really worth a try.
I was staying at the Hampton so this was a convenient dinner spot. A server seated me upon arrival. As she sat me, she asked what I would like to drink. I said I needed to look at the beer menu for a minute. She took forever to return for my drink order. Then never returned for my food order. Finally another server came by and asked if I had ordered. She took my order and told me that my original server had gotten busy. The Schell's Lake Escape beer was very good. It perfectly complemented the Ellsworth Pizza.
I've had the pleasure of meeting up with several friends over the years at Lone Oak Grill. Of the bars around me, I would say they have one if the most comprehensive beer lists for those looking for a range of flavors and styles. Beyond that, there menue is one to compete with as they have a great variety of foods from a good old Fish and Chips, to several well made burgers, as well as sandwiches, stir-fry, and other great options. The staff has always been great, constantly checking back around on the table even during high tide hours. They've had wonderful recommendations on their dishes and beers. The bartenders are also a good lot of fun to interact with.During the summer months is probably the best time to go as the year is filled with out door games like corn-hole and others. Lone Oak has a great patio space for gathering with a large group. During the winter months, they've got some arcade games and several screens for watching the big game be it golf, football, soccer, tennis, or others!
