Wonderful dining experience! Fastest breakfast I have ever had and by far the best cappuccino I’ve ever had as well. The service was wonderful, the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was just great. We got a table right away and our waitress was very attentive and considerate to our needs while we were there. Quick, inexpensive, and delicious! Couldn’t ask for more.
Definitely worth the wait in the cold! The food and service were fantastic! The pancakes are HUGE!! We will be back again!
Best breakfast joint in Duluth. Hands down. Great value, fast and responsive service. I will go back here every time I'm in Duluth. This time I got their country fried steak with hash browns, 2 eggs and a pancake for $10. Was all delicious, as it always is!
We were looking for someplace different to try when we visited Duluth last, and this was my husband's pick. Parking is challenging; street parking only. The place was busy for a Monday morning, so we chose counter seats. The stools are very high for the counter, so eating without making a mess was s bit challenging. I ordered the Uncle Loui's scrambler, and my husband ordered the Gyros scrambler. We happened to sit with a view of the very busy kitchen. This restaurant really does fit the definition of greasy spoon. Our service at the counter was very good. Our food arrived, and I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed. It was okay. Nothing really wrong, but nothing amazing by a long shot. I had hoped for better flavors based on the ingredient list of each of these on the menu, but in the end, it was average at best. This would do in a pinch, but it would be far from the top of our list to return.
We've been here before and they never disappoint! Fast, friendly service and delicious home cooked food! We had the pancakes (if you are looking for a side of pancakes just order one, they are huge) that were fluffy, soft and delicious! The homemade cinnamon syrup gives them a cinnamon roll taste. We also ordered biscuits and gravy.. fluffy, moist biscuits and a flavorful sausage gravy on top. We were in and out in 35 minutes as we had to get to work, so that was also a bonus! Definitely check them out ?
Wowza some of the best breakfast I've ever had. I cannot recommend the French toast enough that was phenomenal!! Adorable little hole in the wall made for a great morning. Very friendly staff and the whole meal was great. Excellent prices too!
Foods alright, I actually liked the biscuits and gravy but most of the waitresses were super rude the first time we came in to eat, and the owner was even ruder the second time. The waitresses looked embarrassed at the behavior of the owner. Menus do not have accurate hours of operation, place is small. Overall, i would not recommend giving this woman your money ? this is a place we've been planning on going to weekly for brunch and definitely won't be doing that now.
Our group came in from the Twin Cities and Seattle WA to check out this infamous diner known for their biscuits & gravy and specialty French toast...which is just delicious! The biscuits and gravy was thick, moist, flavorful and seasoned to perfection; definitely the best in Duluth but maybe the best I'm MN. The stuffed French Toast was uniquely thick, cooked to perfection, filled with fresh berries and topped with REAL whipped cream that has you savoring every bite! Perfect sized meals with leftovers- again- 5 ? Unle Loui's is definitely a DO NOT MISS on our list!!
Came here Monday Jan 24, 2022 and we were looking for a breakfast place in Duluth but most places are closed on Mondays. We could have gone to Sara’s Table but we had been there before and it is over priced for some pretty average breakfast food. Here at ULC I was very happy to find that the prices were very reasonable, the portion sizes filling, and the over all flavor to exceed my expectations!!! Must come and try the stuffed toast and omelets!!!!
I don’t ever leave reviews but the staff was very rude! Came at 11:30am but was yelled at they were closed when online it said they close at 1pm.Hours online said open until 1pm. We tried to go on New Year’s Day and understand them not being open, though they didn’t have anything saying they were closed so we had to drive by to find out. Then Sunday we tried again. We saw the open sign wasn’t lit but the place was packed and we had been told they had great food. We walked in at 11:30 am and the staff yelled at us saying they were closed and the sign was off. If you don’t want people coming in have a sign on your door or change your hours online. I was disappointed we weren’t able to eat at your restaurant but now I don’t think I want to.
