Came in for some quick food before the kitchen closed and to get a few drinks. I got the Tavern Hawaiian pizza and it was pretty good! Definitely needed red pepper flakes which I added. Mike the bartender was amazing! I’ve come in here once while he was behind the bar before tonight, and both times he was the most friendly, fun and naturally outgoing bartender I’ve ever had at Tavern. I don’t frequent Tavern but I will be coming back to see Mike!

We were in Duluth visiting our college student and came here for dinner last night. It was super busy as there had been a big UMD hockey game earlier and it appeared they may have been short staffed. Our server was running around non-stop the whole time we were there, and even through the busyness he was super friendly and attentive to our group of 6. There was a mishap with our order and both our server and manager came over to offer apologies and went out of their way to make it right! Our food was excellent and we appreciated how eager they were to make it up to us. I also appreciated the generous wine pours! ? We will definitely be back when we are in town again!
Delicious salmon salad that was fresh and well prepared. Fast and attentive service. A bit spendy but worth it for a great meal.
The Reuben here is was ok, they made the odd choice to serve the sauce on the side which wasn’t bad but couldn’t see the reason why. But otherwise the service was really good and the restaurant was clean. Also have to note that price wise you better be raking in the dough or make it a place to good for a celebration type event.
We very impressed with our food and our server was attentive. The lemonade was so good. I highly suggest the cheese curds and the wild rice sandwich. Decent prices for the quality. Would recommend for any locals or out of Towners

It’s a great place to eat and the service is wonderful.
So back in Duluth and we went to find a place with crepes but on our way we came across Tavern on the Hill. I had ate here many many moons ago and it was really good but I forgot all about it as I usually don't make it to this part of town. Great atmosphere and service and even better food. Pictured here is the Bang Bang Bowl and the Bluestone Burger which I highly recommend. We'll be coming back again...
What an amazing place! Hands down some of the best cheese curds I have ever had! Pub pretzel is a must try. Perfectly bakes pretzels and a perfect portion of beer cheese. They make a perfect cosmopolitan. I definitely recommend the 50/50 burger. The staff is amazing. This place is definitely on the top of the list of best places to eat
