The food ain't fancy, but the beers is cheap. One can also have a conversation here

I always have a great time at the Golden Bulldog! It has awesome beer for great prices, the employees are super friendly and nice as well! 5 stars!

Excellent hole-in-the-wall type bar. Don't expect a party bar or tons of liquor, but a solid beer selection and top notch bar food makes for a great culinary experience. The hotdogs are spectacular, with many unique combinations, and the pizzas, while generic, hits the spot for what it is. All is fairly well priced as well! The upstairs has many games to play, such as bags and even retro video games. Definitely a nice, cozy place to hang out and meet people, and enjoy yourself at the same time.

The owner is very personable and comes across as a great person which is why we would love to come back again!! We had a wonderful night! We would get a pizza again! They have the best seltzers in the area!

Others have noted the lack of variety in food and drinks, but the real attraction here is the second floor game room. Cheap drinks and a chill atmosphere make for a great place to bring your friends for a few rounds of Mortal Kombat.

Great, chill place! It’s in a convenient location. They have video games to play, bean bags, and more!

Low maintenance place, supre cheap cold cans and taps with the Dogs game on, upstairs has many many games and old gaming systems with tons of tvs and couches, wish this place had more of an online presence it's really a nice place very community supported, treat it well and it will treat you well!

The Golden Bulldog is a decent bar catering towards college students. Drinks are priced fair but the lack of variety makes it tough to make a choice. Food is alright, you aren’t going here for the food though. Ethan the good looking young man, is a great host. He dresses nicely and makes you feel at home! Thanks ethan! Golden bulldog you should go there!

Now that they've finally established regular operating hours and staffed up, this is a cute little neighborhood bar with a ton of potential as they gain their footing! Better prices than other Duluth bars; limited beer and food offerings but what they do offer is solid; setting is very bright and clean; bartenders/staff were personable, professional, and efficient (shout out to Julius and Gavin, who were hustling the first night my buddies and I checked it out). You can see that they're still experiencing growing pains, but that's the nature of the beast. Things I hope they prioritize in the very near future:- Marketing themselves to the neighborhood, as there are a TON of apartments/rentals within a half mile of it that contain students and young professionals (I live across the street and didn't receive one flyer/announcement regarding the place when it was opening).- A solid website and/or social media presence (what they have right now is fractured and underwhelming - should hire an intern from one of the universities to help them establish a decent virtual presence this fall).- Some kind of drink specials/promos.- REALLY hoping that they add a rooftop component to the place, as the views of the lake would be incredible - possibly the best of any bar or restaurant in the city.

I think it’s cute that people are reviewing this place without actually being here??????? This place is super low key. Staff are super nice and it’s a great location. The bathrooms are clean and there’s no complaints about here. Actually come in and check it out before you review.
