First time going here after reading the reviews, our family of 5 was looking forward to trying a new place. We called ahead to check on times the dining room was serving food and was told 10:00. We were greeted by the host who said "the kitchen closes in 30 min" not hello or hi. Once seated at our table, which was very close to the kitchen we hear one of the chef's say "a five top! a FRICKIN 5 top!" Looking back we should have just left then knowing your establishment obviously didn't want us there. After us there was also an additional group of 3 and another group of 2 who also came in both before 10:00. The atmosphere was just uncomfortable, our server was nice however, but seemed stressed since the kitchen obviously continued to be really irritated. You could hear them throwing pans around and when putting plates of food up they would almost slam them down. The food was decent, but the attitudes were just very disappointing and uncalled for. Would not recommend.
Despite being busy, our wait was about 15 minutes and we enjoyed a nice beer in the adjacent bar. Our server was friendly and attentive, and helped us pay our tab quickly when we told her we were in a time crunch. I ordered the Wild Rice burger out of curiosity and I loved it! The fresh pretzels were also outstanding, although the “spicy” cheese sauce was flavorful at most. Could have packed more of a punch. Overall a fun spot in a cool building overlooking the water!
It's a cool place and the root beer was tasty but I think it's probably famous for being famous.Our food came out slightly warm. The French fries didn't live up to the hype. My burger was overcooked and hardly had any sauce on it. I asked for ranch and mayo and never received them but was charged $.25 for it. Whatever. The waiter was largely unavailable although pleasant when he came by.The 5% service fee is "not a gratuity" and it's to keep costs down or something like that. Well OK your costs when up 5% then and I guess you just don't want to print new menus. Fair enough and I can understand the predicament but it seems a bit disingenuous to word it that way.If you want a fun experience then the building itself is kind of that, and the restaurant is somewhat as well. Just expect mediocre food and you're paying for the experience.
Cozy pub style atmosphere with very good burgers. I felt the menu had several choices and the service was pretty good for how busy the restaurant was. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. All three of us ordered different burgers and they were all delicious. (big too with lots of fries) I'd go back to Fitger's again.
Great beer but average food.I eat/get beer here fairly regularly (like once a month). I really love the atmosphere and the service is usually top notch. The beer is amazing, I wish it could be purchased at stores!The only qualm I’ve had regarding Fitgers is the food. It’s not bad by any means, it’s just sort of bland. The fries are delicious but I’ve never had a burger or wrap that I’ve loved.But, who goes to a brewery for the food right? Great place to come and hang out if you’re in town!!
There were a lot of GF and vegetarian options which was nice to see. Many of the dishes had spicy ingredients like jalapeños. I had the Elk burger which was really good. Tables are very close together and not very covid friendly. Overall a nice restaurant down by all the local shops.
Minnesota delicacy Wild Rice Burgers. They are fabulous here. Great beer selection. The fries are crispy and piping hot. We will continue to come back!
Amazing french fries. We had the wild rice veggie burgers which were good if you like veggie patties. It’s so nice that they make something like that in house and cater to vegetarians/vegans. The front patio was nice on a sunny day.
Loved the options on the menu. My mom is a vegetarian and she felt she had a bunch of different options. We tried a few delicious sours and had a great time. The food here was good. My boyfriend went home with a mug to represent a great visit.
OMG BEST SERVICE AND BERGERS AROUND!!
