Our visit was so much fun..we got the best seat in the house..which is good because our wait time was almost an hour long. We were lucky to have a warm sunny day so sitting outside, watching the Horse and carriages roll by, great people watching on the boardwalk and LOTs of doggies on the patio. Very entertaining...some of the best Tomato Basil soup I have had in a long time.
It's been several years since I have been here. Was alone today, sat at the bar since getting in and out quickly was a priority. Service was great. Abby and the other staff behind the bar were good at checking in on me. I got the sweet and spicy chicken wrap with fries and it was SO tasty. I usually eat half of a restaurant meal and save half to take home but this was happy dance good and I just couldn't stop eating. The fries too.
Great Bloody Mary and onion rings. Fish and chips were not edible. A full fillet of fish breaded and fried way too much. The taste was disgusting and WAY too fishy. To me, fish and chips are usually pieces of fried fish. This was not good. Our server was wonderful and took the charge off of our bill. I am normally not one to complain about my food and am easy to please but this was unacceptable. My friend's food was fine, nothing amazing. Very typical bar food. We had another issue with the Beyond Burger and that was also removed from our bill. The location is very neat and the store is nice. Not sure I'll return?!? Maybe try something else and give it a second chance.
First time back since before pandemic. The beer is excellent (highly recommended the Dawn Treader Trippel), the food was delicious (the Swedish Cream with lingonberry jam and seasonal fruit ended the meal perfectly), and the staff were very friendly and attentive!
Our experience was great! Service was prompt and our server was helpful with the beer selection recommendations. Beer and food were delicious ! I built my own burger with house-made sauces on the side (highly recommend the cilantro lime sauce).
Good brewery, food and seating overlooking the boardwalk and Lake Superior.
This was a must stop in our first trip to the North Shore in 3 years. I love the beer cheese soup and my husband is always up for trying a new beer. Very quiet when we were there (mid afternoon) and we had no problems with crowds.
A hip, lively spot. Views of the lake from the dining area. The beers were good. The service was good. The smoked salmon BLT was the stuff that dreams are made of. It was near perfect. Can't wait to go back for another!!
Great place to grab a bite in canal park. We had the chicken tenders and the beerbq burger. Chicken tenders are like they are home made. Burger was awesome, has pulled pork on it with lots of flavor.
Prices are high here and the beer is mediocre. I did not like that the establishment charges 20% gratuity for large parties (even though we had two separate tables and the service was not great). Beer selection is somewhat limited. The scotch Ale is good. Other beers are average to below average. Food is good, albeit expensive.
