The person who was waiting on me was semi-engaged with me while showing more interest in the younger crowd there. I understand that I was not a regular and was only doing a pickup, but my server experience taught me that you give EVERYONE the same energy. So, three stars. Food was decent....service was mediocre.
Hand made and smashed burger patties?? Watch while they slice your fries?! Not only is this a cool place because of the open kitchen, the burgers are bomb! There are a dozen seasonings and dipping sauces to customize the fries and tots. Don’t just drive by, stop here!
Lol people dont come here for the food the wontons should be taken off the menu it has hardly any stuffing and I like the that the tenders are made there but they should take into consideration how small they're cutting the pieces because by the time they get fried your literally feeding people just breading the tots were really the main winner with great taste
Prices for the appetizers were outrageous but the beer and beverages were good . This is what we got today
Great tap house with an amazing selection of beer, delicious food and a fun atmosphere.I go every Wednesday and Sunday evening.The bartender/hostess/waitress Cassie is very knowledgeable and has me try new selections of beer that she thinks I will enjoy.They have a great rewards program.A must when in downtown Duluth.
Great beer selection—need more local. Service was okay—better service for those in the circle. Surly Axe Man is excellent. Ordered the 7 West Melt. “Sourdough” tasted like white bread. Barely any color and no fat—fat is flavor. Didn’t taste the Swiss. Minimal flat top treatment on the onions—these should be caramelized. Killed the burger meat. I’ve had better frozen Bubba burgers. Upscaled with a order of onion rings at $6.29. Out of a bag—half were overcooked and half underdone. The patty melt should be cohesive not a separated mess. Not a fan of the food or their “efficient” process machines in the kitchen. They don’t care what they’re cranking out. Train wreck of a meal with exception to the brewski.
This is an awesome little dive bar that’s usually pretty quiet. They have excellent burgers with several different options and some great beer choices.We come here regularly after work or during lunch and I always look forward to getting a different burger.
Moved here few months ago for work and I've been 5X... Multiple locations (been to Superior and Duluth locations). ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WONTONS!! A must get! Great burgers, wings, onion rings and beer selection. Only complaint would be VERY LIMITED hard alcohol selection.
I always come here when I am up in Duluth. Fries chips. Always made to order, burgers are always good. And a great selection of beer!
Yummy food and service was fast and friendly. They always have lots of options for tap beer.
