Solid burger, nice divey atmosphere and a friendly staff. (Oh, and they have 1919 Root Beer on tap. Always a fan.)I'd been told the burgers were excellent but I didn't think it was quite that. Still, though, good enough that I'll be back again for sure.
I realized that my last post was wrong. I wish to apologize for carelessly not checking how many stars I rated this establishment. They care about feedback and their service. On top of that I didn't even leave a message about the service or food. All of them deserve 5 stars without a doubt. Again my apologies. I deserve 2 stars.. You deserve all 5 stars. Thank you for the MEMORABLE service and AWESOME food.
Got stuck in Minneapolis on my way to Mexico (fyou Delta), but I found this gem. I wanted a burger and a martini. I got the best of both! The place is loaded with locals of all kinds. The demographic here seems to be anyone who loves good bar food, beer and ?. Behind me two men in their 60s are arguing about socialism. At another table is a group of friends in in their 30s loudly discussing America's high prices and how they can't raise their family. Behind them is a family and on the other side there is a couple in their 40s eating quietly. Two older men are slowly sipping on beers at the bar. The bartender, server, and cook genuinely like each other. Shantys is a place you go to feel good. That's it. Come here to feel good.
First time here, and we're just sayin': YOU GOTTA GO TO SHANTYTOWN!Our burgers were amazing good, and this place was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Our server was SOOOO nice!
Use to love the place but the waitress made it very clear she didn't want to serve us. The only reason we stayed is because it had beenSo long since we had been there. The food was still great.
absolutely WONDERFUL. shanty burger is tasty and fries are super crispy. GREAT prices and flavor is??make sure you get the seasoned sour cream-it sounds weird but with the fries it’s phenomenal!

My daughter and I visited for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I had heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it. Wow, I'm so glad I did! We both absolutely loved it. Our food was awesome and the service can't be beat! Our server was a wonderful woman and I'm so sorry that I did not get her name as she was so great! We can't wait to go back again soon! Highly recommended!
