Went there for dinner with my husband. Both of us enjoyed the food as we can do both (authentic Chinese and Americanized Chinese food) because they have two different version of the menu.Literally had the best authentic Chinese meal in Minnesota. Highly recommended the Mapo tofu! So good
This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I ordered online and noticed the website was quite smooth! The ordering process was really easy. I also really enjoyed the food, as it was loaded with good flavors! My order came out over 10 minutes late, even after the 25 minute expected completion time. With how good the food was, the extra waiting time wasn't a huge problem. I will most likely try this place again in the future.
My food was not served hot on this visit. My husband's was steaming and even the underside of the plate was hot. The appetizer combo is very good but, the wooden serving dishes used are over due for replacement. I am not confident they can be properly cleaned between uses. The staff here are always very friendly. The egg rolls were very good!
Had dinner with daughters and son-in-law at Grand Szechuan restaurant. I ordered the Chung King Chicken and we had the pot stickers as an appetizer. I found the potstickers doughy with a rather flavorless filling (like chicken paste without much seasoning). The dipping sauce was equally flavorless like diluted soy sauce with little or no ginger, garlic, or rice vinegar. I asked for soy sauce to give at least a little flavor. Definitely a 2. It wasn't disgusting (a 0) or unpleasant (a 1). Maybe it was a 1. The Chung King Chicken was flavorful, quite spicy (a definite plus), and plentiful. However, it was much too salty. I give it a 3. There may be better dishes on the menu but I probably won't return to discover them because there are numerous better Chinese restaurants in the Twin Cities that served me better food in the past that I would rather explore.
Our order must have been lost, cause it took nearly 45 min to get our lunch specials. In fact, everyone that came in after us for about 30 min had their food before we did. The food itself was good. We could tell the staff kept expecting us to scream at them, but other than a couple thanks for your patience comments they said and did nothing. Good value for what you get... But don't get lost.
They are rude, the customer is always wrong. Szechuan Chicken was sliced breast with broccoli . No chilies no onions nothing Tasteless Go to Hunan on Morgan circle . Terrible .
Delicious Chinese food packed with lots of flavor and huge portion sizes. Great customer service, fast and efficient. I was seated right away and served with hot tea and water. It was my first time there and wanted to look at the entire menu before ordering. The server came around twice and didn't fussy about it or made me feel like I needed to hurry place an order.Conveniently located in a shopping area with easy parking and accessibility. I would defiantly come back!
4 stars for service. 2 stars for food. I had high hopes based on other’s ratings. The meats in the wontons and dumplings weren’t recognizable. Way too much oil, not enough sauce/flavor. Everything tasted the same, even the noodles. I ordered extra spicy, but I guess they didn’t believe me. It was Minnesota spicy. I so wanted Szechuan food today, but I am losing faith that I can find an authentic Szechuan restaurant near me.
The food and service was amazing. Dish portion are very generous plenty to share compare to other Szechuan restaurants. Would definitely come back.
Great Chinese food! This is a go to place for everyone I work with. You won't be disappointed! Very reasonably priced, large portions, big menu, and friendly workers!
