Excellent food! Wonderful customer service! You will love it like I do too!

It's hardly reasonable to expect AYCE restaurant to also have outstanding food - unless your expectations are set low. Among the AYCE places in the Twin Cities though, 98 Pounds clearly has the best quality offerings. Like other AYCE places, you have to wait for the tuna or salmon sushi to come out. Most of the time, it's rolls with minimal or no fish. But the tuna/salmon sushi will eventually come out. The hot dishes are well cooked. If you like Chinese food, there's whole fish available - take a portion, or the whole fish. If you like to use your hands to eat, there are mounds of shrimp to peel. It can get crowded Friday/Saturday nights, but it's always a good eating experience.

I was here with my family for lunch. Each and every dishes were just delicious. Just loved the peaceful place to dine in. I loved the coffee cake in dessert. The hospitality was good. Will definitely recommend to visit this place once.

Sunday dinner lot of customers.Good food but too old and dirtyService was good but not enoughSafe place inside temperature was hot....Good for family dinnerStrong recommend it

Passed this place on the highway, we were curious so we read some reviews and they seemed pretty mixed, we decided to give it a try. You pay before you sit down up front, for 2 adults the price is around $40. Kinda of expensive but I can see why. They have tons of sushi which is actually pretty good, tastes kinda like the groceries store sushi you get at like Whole Foods. The food are decent and this place was better then I would have guessed. Will probably come back soon.

We ate at 98 pounds buffet.Sushi was delicious. So delicious that the workers could not replenish fast enough.Place was busy, but the staff was wonderful.Good value for the price.

Pros: the food is fresh and HOT like piping hot/steaming, the staff was great and stayed on top of things like refills and cleaning, there were gluten-free options and options for kids/picky eaters, the sushi was kept at temperatureCons: the building was very warm - to the point where glass cups became slippery due to the condensation, there weren’t as many options as expected (online photos made it seem like there would be even more food), some options were kind of blandWe definitely didn’t regret going, but were a little disappointed. The place is average, but not the worst by any means

I hate to leave bad reviews especially for small businesses but I had to share because I was terribly disappointed.-Pricing for the buffet is a little higher than average (Mon-Fri around $14 for lunch, Saturday-Sunday around $19 for lunch) which is completely fine but the food was not nearly worth it.-Most of it was straight up cold, room-temp, or soggy. I am a sushi lover & will even settle for Walmart sushi some days but most of the sushi was too bad even for me. I tried small bits of a variety of food to try to get my money’s worth but it was a terrible idea and made me sick.-Staff was great, the place was clean, but the food was terrible especially for the price.

Sushi was good! They had plain crab rolls (I hate avocado), so I was happy. Beef with mushroom was really good, as was the pepper chicken. Friendly staff, clean environment. I would go daily if they had hibachi!

I love this restaurant. It has an immense variety of foods and practically all of them are very tasty! You can eat anything you want, literally. There is a variety of chicken, meat, fish, desserts and much more. The place is very nice too. It is impossible not to enjoy this place!
