Sat on the patio and the ambiance was so chill especially next to a busy road it was surprisingly quiet! The drinks and dessert we got were super yummy! Our waitress Brianna K was super nice and attentive! Perfect addition to Blaine.
I had The Burger, done medium, and I have to say, it may have been the best burger I have ever tasted!
Their food was consistently good from the avocado toast to the mussels and the specialty burger to the burger. The best dish I had was the mussels, the broth was so flavorful and vibrant it was an absolute joy to eat and we needed another order of bread just to soak up the broth. The rest of the dishes always seem to be missing that one flavor that brings the whole dish together, so it was good just not great. The cocktails are quite tasty and they have a great selection of options.
Amazing, absolutely delicious. I had a tart mocktail that was so refreshing and tasty. Also got the squash bisque which was the best squash soup I've ever had. Husband said the burger he got was the best he's ever had. Our friend got pizza and loved it. Our server was super kind and recommended the Countryside Hammer and our friend loved it.
This place is a neighborhood Gem. A great atmosphere. The service was the best I've ever had. We had reservations that some arrived early for and were seated. Others came late. We were there for over 2 hours. Our Server Bria was attentive and a delight. The bartender Chris went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. The appetizers were killer. Dinner delicious. Can't wait to go back.
My girlfriend and I wanted to try this place ever since it opened. We had a reservation for Valentine's Day and we had a great date night. Inside was quite small, but it just looked real nice and a little fancy. The menu isn't huge but there are great choices to choose from. They serve Wagyu beef so if you're a fan of a Wagyu tenderloin or sirloin and want to spend some money, I'm sure it's good.I got a dry aged pork chop with potatoes and I'd have to say it's one of the best pork chops I've ever had. Portions are pretty small for the price, but it does make it up with quality of meat.My girlfriend got a 10 inch BBQ chicken pizza that she said was real good. Crust was nice and crispy only downside she said was it needed a little more chicken. There were several bites that there wasn't any chicken.Overall, I'd say 8/10. I'd eat here again but with how much we spent, it's mainly a special occasion restaurant.
My husband and I came for Valentine’s Day. We have been checking the menu for the week prior but we decided to see if there were any specials for the day. We ended up getting the octopus for an app. The sauce was a little spicy for me but overall really enjoyed something new. I ended up getting the waygu filet and it was AMAZING. I don’t normally spend $55 on steak but I think it was worth it. It came with mushrooms and cranberries (I believe) on the side and each bite was better than the last. I got brussel sprouts as my side and they paired perfectly with the steak. My husband got the burger of the week which was a waygu burger topped with brisket, onions, house pickles, aioli and cheese. That was equally as tasty as my steak! I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to go back soon!
Smaller portions with a culinary flare & lot's of flavor pop! Unique dishes! Great cocktail & beer selection! Awesome atmosphere & friendly wait staff. I recommend.
We arrived at Oliver's about 5:45 on a Sunday evening in late January. My first impression upon entering was that the music was too loud, and unrecognizable because the bass was way too high. It was distractingly loud. The atmosphere is decidedly "warehouse/industrial" which I think is odd, since the menu is chef-designed and pricing is not shy. Food-wise, it's much more fine-dining-expereince, but the ambiance is not warm, not inviting, and does nothing to make you want to linger. (I still can't figure out why we need a bloody television turned to a sports channel in every single restaurant. What ever happened to dinner and conversation?) Seating in the booths is on hard wood slatted chairs which are not very comfortable. In any case, my wife and I were seated quickly in a booth. There are three seating areas; the bar, a center section of tall, 8-person tables which made no sense to me, and a variety of booths against the outside wall. Those were all full, while the bar was about half full and the taller center tables were completely empty. I have no idea what the idea is behind those center tables. The only way you'd want to sit at one is if you're with a large group, but it's not a big place at all, so those tables represent probably 50% of seating capacity. The menu was limited and somewhat on the pricier side, but I'm pretty sure that the place is chef-owned, so you eat here because of quality food, not low prices. Our waitress brought waters and then 10-15 minutes later took our order. I asked her if they could turn down the music, or at least dial back the low-frequency part of the sound system. She asked me what I'd like to hear instead and I said, "just make it quieter if you can, please." She said she'd have the bartender put on something different...which is not what I asked for but at some point you just gotta roll with it.My wife ordered the Wagyu beef sandwich (about $18) with creamed greens, (you get one side item with your entree) and I had the 1/2 Cornish Game Hen, with Thumbelina carrots. My entree was $19.99 and I was honestly shocked that the Game Hen portion could be as small as it was. See the photo; my plate was about 9" across so this was about 3" of meat, including the bones! Embarrassing, really. Maybe six bites. Maybe. I've never seen an entree that small in my life. (Our server said later that they have appetizers larger than that!) The presentation was decent and it was garnished nicely, but I was not "wowed" by any stretch. The carrots were quite good however. My wife's creamed greens side dish was nicely portioned, served hot; and we agree they were very good.My wife's sandwich was very tasty as well; the Wagyu beef was pretty tender, very flavorful, and it was served on a ciabatta roll with grilled onions and light cheese layer. Since she didn't finish it, I had half of her sandwich, and neither of us went home hungry. We also each ordered a glass of red wine. In both cases, if we assume a red wine pour should come to the widest part of the glass or slightly above it, both glasses were well short of that mark. I estimate we each got about 3.5 oz of wine while there should have been 5 oz. or so in each glass.Overall? Very mixed bag. I realize that I'm calling out a good number of disappointments in this review, and I may sound like I'm nit-picking. What I'm trying to do is cover all aspects of the dining experience. The chef/owner also owns about a half dozen other restaurants in the area. They should have their game down pat by now. If you don't mind loud music, a cold, industrial feel and good but fairly expensive food, then you may have a good time here. I'll go back at least one more time in the near future and see if things improve at all.
What a great find! I was looking for a place to go with my daughters for lunch and wanted to try some place new. Oliver's was our choice and it did not disappoint. They have an amazing drink menu, including coffee drinks. They have an amazing list of unique small plates, and serve Wagyu beef burgers. sandwiches and steaks along with many other things I would love to try.
